Having problems with my tv and no channels available. I call shaw waiting 15 mins to talk with customer service then they transfer me to speak with tech support another 45 mins (which i gave up tired of waiting). Lucky i just left the speaker on while i showered & made dinner while waiting for tech support. The 15 mins to talk with customer service wasnt so bad cause they had a call back option. But waiting to talk with tech support is fucking shitty.

I had a 15 min call back from customer service. But there was no callback option for tech support. I knew this could take forever so did my things with loudspeaker on. Might just cancel the tv plan since im rarely watching anything on tv. Than getting a headach waiting for them to fix it.
He can always take off his shoes and if necessary drop his drawers...........

I'm actually thinking of cancelling cable as well. You can apparently get the following in digital for free over the air in Vancouver. All you need to do is connect a digital antenna to your TV.
CBC (in HD)
GLOBAL
OMNI
CITY TV
CHECK TV
Others like the shopping channel and religious stuff..
People with large antennas installed on their roof tops can apparently pick up stations like NBC, KOMO, CBS, PBS, FOX,... from Seattle as well.
With all the free content avail on the Internet and the free channels that can be obtained over the air (CBC gets you Canucks games in HD for free), paying Shaw a monthly fee doesn't really make sense.
I think i'll buy an antenna this weekend to see exactly what I can pick up in my area.
I had my HD and PVR go into a funk a while ago. I spent better part of 2 hours on hold. Once I spoke with Shaw tech support all they told me to do was pull the power plug on the set top box, wait 5 minutes, power it up again and poof it was good to go. Now I don't even bother calling them at all.
Think of the brightside, that means Shaw hasn't outsourced their call centres yet to different locations in the world and is still giving jobs to Canadians. :nod:
