Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen

So I decided to give Shannon from CL a try today. (http://winnipeg.craigslist.ca/ths/4853234942.html) After a couple of phone calls (the last was only a few minutes prior to our date), finding her place and getting directions to access her building, I got to the front door and dialled in to her place. Five minutes later, I'm tired of standing there, listening to the entry phone ring with no answer, so I try to phone her again - still no answer after a loooong time. Back to the car, wait a couple of minutes and try one more time. Nothing. So, I ask myself, "What did she do?". Run out, faint from the sound of my manly voice, get bad vibes from the phone call? Don't know, give it up, say some bad words and go home. About 30 minutes later, I get a text with some BS story that someone had come to her door at just the right time and she thought he was me. She turned off her phone, etc., forgot all about little, old me and took care of him instead. Crap. So, guys, Shannon might offer great service but as far as I'm concerned, she's a no-show. Not an unplausible story, I have had that happen to me once with Rona. Actually watched the guy go into the building while I was waiting for my appointment. Almost the exact scenario.

Not defending Shannon, have never seen her. But she could be telling the truth.

I think the chances that a provider bumps a new client over a regular is relatively high given the new laws and tight market especially if the reg client is booking a longer session!

Yup, I hear you, shorty. However, she fed me the line that she thought he was me. Even though I gave her a name. So, you might be right and I got bumped for a regular client and that's fair enough but, to quote another poster, "I hate getting lied to!". Wrong hobby for that, I'm thinking. Shannon blew me off twice...once was when I had booked on short notice, then 20 min before the appt she calls me back and says an unexpected person showed up at her place and she had to cancel. the 2nd time she said the next morning was great for her, we booked a time, she said fine, I dropped her a line late the night before to ask if all is good for our appt, and with no response, I dropped her another message asking if all was good early in the morning, no answer...a half hour before the appt I get a message telling me that she woke up with a flu, and had to cancel. I will have to be pretty desperate to book a 3rd appt.
