That's awful. It is illegal though and they know that but what concerns me is not the release of their photos but the release of their real names...dangerous :(

Most of the charges too aren't for prostitution related offences. They are pretty much all for trespassing in Clark county.

Most if not every charge is for a misdemeanor offence. Then they are outing the pictures and real names of the ladies involved.. now thats unheard of. I can see this ending rather unpleasantly for the people in charge of clark county. Soo lets see you have possible the one city in the word that truly objectifies sex and puts forward the whole "what happens in vegas stays in vegas" image that Sin City has.. then on the other hand you have a bunch of purtian civic officials and police that have gone a little over the line.

I think that if the women are blatantly spread in the news as prostitutes, then we need some pictures and names of the men involved as well.

The only hope I have is that it will help some of the (appearing) addicted gals help their addictions...

ya but Jana when the clientele are judges, lawyers, civic politicians from not only clark county and surrounding areas but from other states and other countries... ya those guys won't be uhmm targetted by having their picture and name in the newspaper.

It's all hypocrisy from top to bottom .. it's far easier on society to blame and direct everything away from the Pimps and the johns and to target the girls because they are there. Funny how you don't see the 50 most infamous prolific pimps in Las Vegas being targeted. Or the 50 most prolific johns.. and you never will. it's a serious double standard that exists in our society.

It's sensationalism in newscasting. It makes it look like the city is "cleaning up the area" thats all it is I think personnaly they went way too far.. but it sells newspapers because everyone want to read the article, or create a hit on the webpage. Hey everything helps in the new economic climate....

People want too see and read about other peoples Dirty Laundry. It's the the schadenfreude that society wants.

So where does it end ... and when does someone say enough and are you seriously saying that some economic benefit at another persons loss of privacy is justified ?

Vancouver is well on its way to being a police-state. Afternoon news saw Constable Carr (Public spokesman for RCMP) discussing the need for any gossip at all in relation to gang violence. (He referred to it as "intelligence")

Did you go to the 5 or Brandies or the Cecil lately ... you get your drivers licence scanned ... maybe a cop will phone you up and ask if you got any juicy tidbits you want to share ... suppose there was an incident and your local HA paid you a courtesy call to see if you could help them out ...

Shock and awe is a pretty popular game these days and we shouldn't let the politicians and the police erode our freedoms.

Sex worker activists in the US have been fighting and protesting the US legislation and measures for years. So far, their voices are largely being ignored.

Perhaps, that's because most of us - both SPs and clients - have too much to lose to stand up and say enough. It seems to me that open sex work activism is one of the most courageous civil acts these days - in terms of how devastating it could be to the lives of those involved. I know I don't have the guts to do that.

These girls are criminals, bad dates who roll johns and steal.
They are going after the "crack whore" segment, not the legit SPs.
I think this is great, at least now if a guy has one of these girls show up at his hotel he might recognize her and save himself.

One of the problems on this forum is people tend to always be slanted towards the girls, when a guy posts "I got robbed by a girl" the response is usualy "why were you pickin up a SW or using CL you cheap bastard, should of seen a legit SP".

It's las vegas and they are looking out for the tourists, which is clearly shown from them wanting these girls off the strip.
Not only does this help us guys but when we don't get ripped off by a "crack whore" we will take the money to a legit SP.
