Reporting in on Sophie, and it's pretty bad news.

I texted her a few days back looking for some afternoon fun. No response until late in the evening, around 10:30 p.m. She laughed it off as being a night owl, and since I was still in the mood, I thought I'd see if she was still available. After discussing her rate I asked if she would an outcall, and she asked for a $50 deposit, which seemed fair. I sent the e-transfer, and that was the last I heard from her. She never showed up. She never messaged back.

Willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, I messaged her the next morning asking if she would send me back my deposit or perhaps arrange a meeting that night. No response to that.

And unfortunately, it doesn't end there.

This morning I woke up from a text from another number that read:

"Does your family know that you've been hiring escorts from leolist? Shall I show them or no?"

I just wrote back that I actually hadn't hired anyone, and had only been scammed out of $50.

Anyway, long story short, Sophie seems to be not only a total scam, but also someone willing to turn the scam into potential blackmail income. STAY AWAY.

Hopefully this is a lesson to never give deposits on a whim like that.....thinking with the little head, happens to us all,..but still....

Also this is a lesson in getting a burner phone for this hobby; so blackmail threats can be disregarded, (then again they can track the e-transfer if they follow through on their threats).

Getting ripped off really sucks and I'm sorry you did, but that text you got makes my blood boil. I suppose that's why they would send it though, because there's really nothing they could tell your family because who would they know? It's just such a serious threat that's so easy to see through, and whoever is making them deserves something very unkind happen to their faces.

Yeah, I'm still pretty new at this so I didn't know if deposits were a common thing or not. It seemed reasonable to ask for one before coming to an outcall, but maybe I'm wrong.

As for blackmail, fuck 'em. I'm happy lucky enough to be able to publicly support sex workers, so why not financially support them too ;)

So it may have been a more serious threat though, because they did have my name (probably from the e-transfer) and my city, and from there could probably track me down on Facebook, because I have pretty open security over there. I'm sure if they wanted to, they could have found my family, but I like said in a different comment, who the fuck cares. I'm not married, and my parents, while older, aren't exactly pearl-clutchers.

I have received, almost verbatim, the same text message from other SPs (and I don't do e-transfers). The first time it happened I engaged her and became quite upset. Now when it happens the odd time, I ignore it. They ask for money, and the second you do, they will bombard you because they know they can get you to pay. There's a way for them to find out your name using an application. I suspect that they just bombard every one they can to see which one they can scam. I have sincere doubts about them actually bothering to go through the effort of contacting people you know.

Even if you're spared from embarrassment on the family front, you still have your professional life, and even your good name to worry about. As I'm sure the possible blackmailer is some hacker wannabe in South East Asia playing mind games with you, still (in this day and age) all it takes is for someone to start throwing around the "r---" word and it's all downhill from there. Even if you're free of domestication, they can still fuck with you.
