Not a super new story but I had not heard of it, and it’s a useful analysis. Judge did not buy the client’s defence that since buying is illegal (while selling is not, under our Nordic legal model), the contract was unenforceable. Plaintiff showed some real moxie even taking it to court, given how vulnerable that makes someone in the business. Hopefully this might move us towards more sensible laws.
