Sex is just as good with a condom as without, and scientists now have proof

You don't have to take your condom off to have a good time, according to a new American medical study.

The study, published this month in the Journal of Sexual Medicine revealed that neither men nor women reported any significant decrease in sexual pleasure when using condoms and lubricants.

Researchers analyzed data from a 2009 sexual behaviour survey involving 5,865 Americans of both genders and all sexual orientations, between the ages of 18 and 59. The participants were asked certain details of their most recent sexual experience -- right down the what the condom was made of -- and how they rated the sex.

"We found that sex was largely rated very pleasurable and satisfying by women and men during their most recent act, whether or not they used a condom or lubricant," study lead Dr. Debby Herbenick told News-Medica.net. "There were still high rates of orgasm reported by both women and men."

Sexual health professionals highly recommend the use of condoms, as they can help prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections and HIV -- not to mention unwanted pregnancies.

The study found that between 20 and 25 per cent of participants had used a condom during their most recent sexual act. Men were more likely than women to be able to tell latex from polyurethane -- but that could be because they're usually the ones who buy them, Herbenick noted.

Researchers were most interested in any apparent links between condom/lubricant use and how people rated their sex.

"Health educators often recommend condoms, but sometimes people worry that they make sex feel less natural or less pleasurable," Herbenick told HealthDay News. "We haven't found this to be the case when you actually look at people' experiences of condom use."

Why is it that when using condoms the duration of sex is much longer?
Obviously because there is less friction and less sensation.
I am not like Lenny searching for BBFS with SP but greatly prefer bareback with girlfriends.

If you notice a difference in your sexy time (the whole thing from Hello to cigarette) between cover and no cover. You are doing it wrong.

Hardly scientific proof when the whole study is based on a subjective poll.

What's more telling to me is that 75 - 80% of respondents DIDN'T use a rubber on their last sexual encounter - talk about irony!

one problem with condoms not mentioned here is that some men lose erection when using them and it would be hard to change positions with the condom on.

My research found that BBFS was almost always rated as feeling significantly better than CFS to amazingly better than CFS.

An exception would be when the fear of consequences due to BBFS hindered some people from being able to enjoy BBFS.

About the four passes through, I am stopped in my tracks in front of the wonderfully names 'One Eyed Wench (I mean, who can resist that name, and who amoung you has not wanted to Phuck a one eyed wench?). What is it that has locked my feet into the ground and pulled my eyes toward it as if god has appeared in front of me? A perfect, perfect 10. I mean, to me, a 10 is not something you just throw around as a rating. To me, supermodel hot is a 9- a 10 is that hot with just something extra, some deep and profound sensuality that transends the looks. Well, there she is, a door girl in a tight par of jeans with a perfect little ass, B / C cup, flat, flat stomach, but enough muscule tone that gives look of your yummy gym rat- pefrect. The face is out of this world. I almost never just go with a girl on looks alone- I have to feel a chemistry. But, I am phucking this one even if she is the most sour.ussed ***** in the world, even if she is the emodiment of money grubbing skank. For the 1500 paso EWR (34 bucks) , even if she terms out to be a frigid matress bag I will see god ever second while inside her.

This is probably why the women do not feel a difference in sex with condoms, if the guy lasts longer, it is a bonus not a deterrant lol.

Sounds like a weak attempt at Social engineering. But this generation may buy into it as they probably have little experience Au naturel.

"scientists now have proof" just goes to show scientists don't get laid.

Most women even agree that sex without a condom feels better for them. They can feel the difference too.

Notice how no SP speaks up to agree here.

Its kind of like the old joke "A blowjob is like pizza even when they're bad they're good" So yeah people give a good rating to the sex they just had but if the scientists had asked the same people if sex is better without a condom they'd get a different answer which is why they didn't ask it in this study

I can barely remember what sex without a condom feels like because it's been so long since I was in a LTR, but I definitely remember that it felt much more enjoyable without a condom.

There ya go.

:)
You have the courage to be honest! Thank you!!!!

There is definitely a difference in feeling between condom and bareback. Ltr are the only time I would consider bb. I left Ontario and an ltr to come to Vancouver.
My first few experiences, a cock with a condom on just reminded me of what a dildo feels like.. Now I don't notice the condom, but if it breaks during (which is extremely rare), it only takes a few seconds for my brain to register the different feeling that skin to skin brings.

I have to say it is another fucked up study .....

I don't think that many people are using condoms ..either .. there are many pregnancies and abortions .. and then many girls on birth control of some kind .. I have not see that many smart young people either ... so aware of HIV maybe .. but they don't see it as a death sentences ( it is not ) They still think it is manly a gay sickens .. ( it is not ) So prob. the 80% that did not use a condom are accurate stats on society use.

Maybe you can't speak for 'most' women, or any woman for that matter.

I think 'most' women prefer sex that is not high risk for either pregnancy or any STDs but I could be wrong, considering that the above average higher number of infection rates in the 14-22 year old group.

I'd think "most" men would come into that group as well.

I'd "prefer" to be an immortal vampire, but we live in the real world.

Adults love sex & are willing to take risks to get it.

I probably am older than you. There’s a big difference between having a Twitter account and being a twitter head. Most people I’ve met in their 20’s are incapable of critical thought involving more than 140 characters at a time. It is especially noticeable in the work place with the young university grads that have been coming out in the last decade. For the most part, they seem unable to contemplate the consequences of their current actions even only thinking a few hours ahead.

I see very little logic or forward thinking anymore.

The purpose of the older generation as to the younger generation that is fresh out of school starting their careers is:
to give them a dose of reality of how the world really works, that they are not special, and crush their dreams.
That leaves them to have to invent new dreams, ones that survive the real world.
