From no seed to winner, blasting away Maria Sharapova 6-1, 6-2 in the final.

It's no surprise; she's all stamnia and muscle (any artificial help, I wonder). Yeah, yeah, and a lot of talent.

Just look at those arms.

Maybe Arnie is her fitness guru.

Serena played an incredible match. Looking at her at the beginning of the tournament, I didn't think that she would do very well. She was huge and looked like she was really out of shape. She squeaked out a couple of very tight matches on her way to the final.

She served, returned and moved so well in the final. She found the groove and confidence of the past when she was #1 in the world. She truly did dominate Sharapova in this final. I was surprised! She should have a great year if she can remain healthy.

Serena sister passed away awhile back
Venus is dead? Nah. I think you mean she passed through a while back.

Last major Venus won was 2005 Wimbledon.

No not Venus but her other sister. Their entire family had to cope with the death. Add that to injuries and it explains why Serenas not #1 in the world.

"Williams dedicated the title to her half-sister, Yetunde Price, who was shot to death in 2003."
