CL your acrimonious, delusional, lacklustre & garish prevarication .
Could you possibly shout some more? We can't really understand your nice, harmonious, sweet posts unless you shout

Geez, I post a post AGREEING with this right wing nuts, simply laying out their clear statements that no one could disagree w/, & I get this nice, tempered reaction.

Is it possible the truth really hurts that much?

Who'da thought?

BTW, my current top 5 right wing statements that NO ONE could possibly disagree with:

* Tobacco does not cause cancer
* Being gay is a curable disease
* Global warming is a myth
* Creationism is a valid hypothesis & must be taught, evolution is not & shouldn't be
* Trees cause as much pollution as mankind
* Rock 'n Roll is liscentious and will destroy our morals

It's not "shout"ing!

It would only make things worse for him Mr. O.

You see, the vacuum in his head would suck the cotton in from his ears and his head would explode!!

The guy's way too high strung. He should switch to weed, that'll cure his acrimony problem. I hear it helps with glaucoma, too.
Good one rollerboy!!

That's 6 statements, not five. And, you must be older than I thought. Two of the six statements are so old, you'd have to be over 50 to have even heard them.

Tobacco does not cause cancer
I haven't heard that one since the 1970's, not even from the tobacco lobby.

Being gay is a curable disease
Strictly for the religious nutbars; most true right-wingers know that's ridiculous.

Global warming is a myth
It's not a myth at all. It's just that it's happened so many times before, maybe our influence is a lort less than the greens make it out to be.

Creationism is a valid hypothesis & must be taught, evolution is not & shouldn't be
See my response to the gay item above.

Trees cause as much pollution as mankind
That doesn't even merit a response. Besides, who ever said that?

Rock 'n Roll is liscentious and will destroy our morals
They said that in 1956 when Elvis was only shown from the waist up on TV. By 1959. that idea was no longer current.

You seem to be under the delusion that anyone with so-called right-wing ideas is religious. That's no more true than saying that left-wingers are all "Godless commies".

BTW, I'm more and more convinced that you're the reincarnation of wildonion.

You either have a very selective memory, or absolutely no knowledge of the history of the US if you don't know where some of these statements come from. Far be it from me to say you're dumber than dishwater if you actually are truthful about what you say about the Right WIng Principles list.

I'll just limit myself to one response showing Avery is too cute for words in trying to have me waste more of my time rather than doing any internet searches himself:

* Tobacco does not cause cancer
Avery said:

"For example, six tobacco CEOs told Congress a few years ago that nicotine isn't addictive [1994 to be exact] . "

& also http://www.newstatesman.com/200506270004

Clearly he & the other Right Wing Mafia trying to pin down control of the dialogue on this list are following the Right Wing Pundit guide to misinformation on any subject, going toward points 6-11:
-deny in the face of facts,
-tie up your opponent in side issues to ignore you lose the central point,
-dissemble when shown the error of your ways,
-call your opponent names while accusing him of being discourteous,
-ignore any argument that might counter you but only attack, attack, attack your opponent,
-SHOUT YOUR OPPONENT DOWN AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE

&, a GOLD STAR to the first neanderthal to actually own up to knowing "What wacky Right Wing God (a tad forgetful, but still a GOD) said Trees cause pollution ?" C'mon, ya got the internet at your fingertips, YOU can do it!

Well, I Googled "trees cause pollution", and, LOL, here's the first hit:

http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1571/is_9_19/ai_100111682

And, there are several more similar articles. So, I guess old Ronnie's Alzheimer's made him an idiot savant, rather than just an idiot. :D

P.S. Not to worry; I won't be chopping down any trees. But, I do find it hilarious that a seemingly ludicrous statement made by someone we now know to have been in the early stages of Alzheimer's may turn out to have at least a grain of truth to it.

Re the tobacco links, the first one refers to addiction, not cancer. By 1994, the tobacco companies had given up denying that smoking causes cancer. The second link refers to an absolutely ludicrous decision made by a British judge that must have astounded even the tobacco lobby.

BTW, I hate smoking, and have no use for the tobacco industry. However, I also have no sympathy for people who've smoked for thirty years or more, are dying or have died, and yet they or their heirs are suing the tobacco industry for damages based on their alleged lack of knowledge that smoking is harmful. IMO, ruing one's youthful bravado later in life is not grounds for lawsuits. Nor is taking advantage of others' stupidity in the face of overwhelming evidence. Just keep on emphasizing the dangers of smoking, restrict where people can do it, and tax the shit out of tobacco products.

Really, are you this obtuse in real life or just on the internet? But you do get the gold star... -- wacky as it is, it fits.

I do like, tho, that in one post it's "no one said this," cause it's too stupid to believe, to "Maybe Reagan was right about them deadly trees...." A real true believer, I'll give you that

So now on tobocco it's not "I hadn't heered that since the 1970's" to "By 1994, the tobacco companies had given up denying that smoking causes cancer." Now it will be "Bob Dole never said those things he was said to have said when he said it." & of course your attempt is that "Of course right wingers never believe anything absurd, we're always right (extreme right)."

The whole point of my list is simply to put, flat out, the ridiculous things right wingers believe as a matter of course. & how statements from the recent past have proven so ludicrous ("Rock'nRoll... serving blacks..."), the new ones right wingers trot out ("Gays are bad...abortion is bad...") are equally as ludicrous, but you're frothing at the mouth too much to see it.

Your response "I don't know any right wingers that believe these things"??? HAH! how funny.

Because y'all are using the same tactics -- the same tactics on one issue
(defending Big Tobacco & refusing to acknowledge the evidence linking it to addiction & cancer)
w/ every other issue that comes down the line
(defending Big Oil & refusing a.) that there's global warming & then b.) OK there's global warming but humans don't cause it & inevitably to c.) OK there's global warming and humans caused it but now it's too late to do anything about it)

The central point y'all do is, protect the established company line (& profits), no matter what.

But you keep on trying to dodge credit for ludicrous statements by trying to claim "That's old hat, from before my time, from the 1970's or 1960s, etc., that doesn't reflect conservative thought today" to try & tie people up in showing the truth.

Dole Criticizes Role Of Press and Foes In Tobacco Debate
July 3, 1996, Wednesday
By ADAM NAGOURNEY (NYT); National Desk
Late Edition - Final, Section A, Page 1, Column 6, 1208 words

DISPLAYING ABSTRACT - In a contentious television interview broadcast this morning, Bob Dole charged that the "liberal media" were promoting the Democratic line in questioning his statement that tobacco may not be addictive to everyone.

"We know smoking tobacco is not good for kids, but a lot of other things aren't good. Drinking's not good. Some would say milk's not good."
-- Sen. Robert J. Dole, 1996

"OK, I can't no longer deny global warming, but it's caused by trees... it ain't affecting weather patterns, it still gets cold in January (or if not, then February)... hurricanes just happen...."
