So did any one else watch the final episode of the series? We got to see Nikita, Dakota and Melissa going at each other in what looked like one of the room at Legends. There were dildos and tongues all over the place! It certainly looked like they were having fun.

In another part of that episode Danny and his male actor were waiting in a hotel room for Karma to show up so they could film a scene. She's already a half hour late when they get a call from her manager saying she won't be showing up because she got a better offer. I'm sure that was all scripted but they don't know how close to reality that really is.

In a couple episodes before that we got to watch Chanel fucking some dude inside the Adult Superstore on 75th Street. I now have to be careful where I step inside that place. LOL.
Talking to one of the employees who was at the shoot, I was able to get some interesting behind the scenes stories.

Apparently The Boy Nexxt Door is Playboy's highest rated series and sounds like there will be a second season. I wonder how many more local SPs will make an appearance?

I love this show, haven't seen them all but the ones i saw where great. Cool to know most the girls are from edmonton area. That Haley is hot. So was the brunette with the big fake cans earlier in that same episode with haley

Hope this one is repeated all this week if you just seen it.

I will have to watch for it - seen most of the rest of them

Actually the final episode (Danny's Dream Girl) aired a couple weeks back. They just started re-airing the earlier episodes. I looked on the Playboy TV schedule for the rest of May and all of June and I don't see that episode playing again. It might not be shown again until maybe July or August if at all.

Maybe the producers gave Dakota a copy. Then both of you can watch it over at Supreme while you're doing her doggy.

From today's Edmonton Sun

Inside a cramped, dimly-lit building tucked between a bike shop and a yoga studio on Stony Plain Road, a group of young Edmonton porn actors primped, preened and greased up in preparation for a shoot yesterday.

In front of the sole mirror a woman straightened her hair while a shirtless man rubbed oil on his chest in the background. In another room crew members fussed with sheets piled on the floor and contemplated adding a thin, foam mattress they found.

This is what Canadian porn looks like.

Real Productions, a Sherwood Park-based adult video company, hopes the public will see a lot more of it.

Earlier this week the company got the thumbs-up from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunicatons Commission to launch Northern Peaks, "Canada's first adult video channel offering significant Canadian adult content," the decision states.

Canadian broadcast regulations require the station to feature 15% Canadian content, but the company has voluntarily pledged to up that to 50%.

"I didn't think it could be called Canadian content at 15%," said Shaun Donnelly, owner of Real Productions, outside of yesterday's shoot for Playboy TV's Boy Nexxt Door on Stony Plain Road -- another project the company is working on.

Canadians want to see Canadian porn, argued the company's vice-president for marketing, Ashley Corsiatto.

"One flavour of everything grows repetitive and tiresome after a while. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of seeing the Silicon Valley girls constantly. Different people like different things. You can't keep serving them (the) same thing over and over and expect them to swallow it," she said, emphasizing the company's mandate to use amateurs rather than porn stars.

Although the CRTC granted the company a licence, Real Productions still has to secure a carrier before Northern Peaks makes its way to digital cable. Corsiatto hinted several companies have expressed interest.

"We're optimistic and we're confident that we'll find a carrier," she said.

"Porn doesn't have the same stigma it did years ago ... It's a legitimate business with legitimate business opportunities."

Hustler TV Canada, which launched in 2003, and a Montreal-based porn channel operate in Canada.

However, says Corsiatto, the former imports much of its programs while the latter only contains around 20% Canadian content.

"There's an untapped well of Canadian talent. Why wouldn't we use it? Why would we go fishing elsewhere?" she asked.

For industry players like Edmontonian Danny Vegas, the channel will mean significantly more work. Vegas produces, directs and acts for Real Production programs.

"The U.S. has been huge for that market," he said. "(The channel) means ... Canadian producers will be a lot busier producing for the network. The second thing is we'll get a lot more new talent. It's been flooded with the same girls, same guys, the same kinds of things for a long time."

However, some anti-porn advocates might argue adding new faces to the industry - plucked from their backyard, no less - isn't a good thing.

Corsiatto said they're anticipating a certain amount of backlash.

"We know there (are) going to be naysayers, but ... we know this is a business," she said.

"We know we do it well. We know there's quality and professionalism to it. Some people are always going to react, 'Oh you're hurting the children or whatever.' But this is going to be a subscription channel. This is not going to be in anyone's home who did not intentionally go out, pursue it and wants it in their home. We're not forcing this down anyone's throat."
