I will be travelling to Seattle on the 26th of this month. Staying for two days.
I really want to stay downtown as it is easy to walk around and see the sights.
I am planing to try and take in a Mariners game as well.

I am thinking two nights, downtown, Does not have to be first class. But not real cheap either.

Will it be hard just to go there and look around or should I phone ahead and try and book something now.

I will be taking the bus down there.

It is just me. No I don't plan to poon while there. Maybe a strip club.

Thanks for your help.

The downtown Sheraton is OK. I usually pay 225 per night and get a $100 coupon for Macy's.

Also the Hyatt around the corner is good. I think I paid 139 last time.

Usually am there on weekends but I think the weekdays may be higher.

There is the Fairmont Olympic Hotel thats downtown 4th avenue and University Street. Your looking at about $350.00 a night its cheaper if your a AAA memeber.

Yes call ahead as all the hotels are getting into there busy summer times and rooms go fast.

I recommed the Westin on 6th. I used to get a corp. rate of $189 mid week, so it will probably be cheaper on the weekend. Also check CL, there are tons of pooning opportunities for cheap.

Red LIon

I like the Red Lion on 4th. It is a business style hotel, so again probably cheaper on the weekends. They are also great to deal with, for bookings and such.

Have Fun!

In my house
I usually stay at the Mediterranean Inn. It is adjacent to Seattle Center on Queen Anne. It isn't a "full service" hotel (pardon the pun!) in that they don't have a restaurant/formal lounge, etc...-- but there is a Starbucks right there...as well as a number of restaurants and other cafe's right on Queen Anne. The place is fairly new and the rooms have fridges as well there are free internet terminals in the lobby. There is a Safeway less than a block away to stock up on cold beverages/food. You can hop on the monorail if thats your style or wander across Seattle Centre into town. There is a convenient bus that runs along Queen Anne that goes right down to Safeco Field and Seahawk Stadium.
Their website is: http://www.mediterranean-inn.com/

The Olympic also has easy access to Deja Vu, Fishermans Wharf and a relatively easy walk to the ballpark.

Hotel Monaco

This one is more of a boutique hotel. Price range is pretty good too. Just do a search on Expedia or even Hotwire. There are lots of choices.
