Has anyone taken advantage to the going out of business sales? There appears to be huge markdowns at the Mertotown location. Pretty much all that left is whats on display. Wish I had checked it out a week or so ago. Would have to deal with the manufacturer though instead of Sears if there's a warranty problem.

Im tempted to replace everything in my kitchen but with the remaining stock I'd end up with a mixture of brand names

Not sure if there is any real deal to be had. They definitely inflate the regular prices on the sale tags, in some cases you are paying even more than regular pricing. I have proof of this because I saw a small sofa there prior to the sale and took a picture, it was $400. Exactly 3 days after, it was on sale for $450 from $600. It is not the first time (they did the same in 2016 and got sued) and I am not the only one https://www.buzzfeed.com/ishmaeldaro/sears-canada-liquidation-sale-prices

Another store that does this almost on every sale, is The Brick.

I bought a few appliances out of the Abbotsford location.
They aren't honouring any extended warranties that were purchased prior to this liquidation. I'm getting burned on a few things i bought over a year ago.
I went by the North Vancouver location a week or 2 ago, they had a good selection.

Too true.
I gave up on looking for deals at the Langley store. There were much better discounts down the hall at the Bay, yet the store was vacant compared to the sheep-mentality madness going on at Sears.
