Two weeks ago, i wasn't even sure if the Hawks would make the playoffs. The Rams' defense looks deadly, the 49'ers look tough, but beatable and the Cardinals were looking like monsters. Within two weeks, Bradford is done for the year, the 49'ers still look tough but old and beatable, the Cardinals lost Dockett for the year and Palmer is still their starting QB.

I think the Hawks should be good enough to win the division. But their receivers are pretty shitty and Harvin isn't going to play 16 games. I'm not entirely sure they can win the NFC.

They better win this year, because once they resign Wilson in the off-season, they are going to take two steps backwards due to cap issues.
Wow, you are an optimistic aren't you!

The thing is, Baldwin and Harvin are under 6' and Kearse is 6'1. That's pretty underwhelming. What's worse is that none of the receivers have had a 1000 yard season and Harvin can't stay healthy. I actually can't believe I'm saying this, but, I think the Hawks are going to miss Golden Tate this year because he was a good blocker and was pretty good for YAC. And the O-Line is still pretty suspect.

And I know things can change, but, I think the Hawks are going to be hurting by having Lynch have less carries this season.

A Week 4 bye, a first-place schedule, and having to face the ridiculously talented and physical NFC West defenses could lead to some costly injuries, and the Seahawks missing the playoffs. It is a very realistic scenario I think many Hawks fans are too afraid to admit could happen.
It will be tough to repeat, they lost some great players and will miss Tate, but if Percy Harvin stays healthy he could have an MVP season,he does so much and is so explosive its scary.Russel Wilson gets better every game,Lynch is still going strong and the defence and secondary are still the best in the league. They will make the playoffs but everything has to go right to win it all.

Just getting used to Seahawks now that on west coast and I like most everything about them save the size of their receiving corps so you make a good point there. However, they have such depth at every other position (except quarterback) and could easily make a trade or two as the lack of good D around the NFL is amazing. I have become a huge fan of R Wilson. I think he is most intelligent QB the game has seen since Joe M and though he is not a physical specimen (e.g. he is pretty short), his heart and brain make up for a lot of that. If he stays healthy, they get 1200 or so yards out of Lynch, get Harvin over 1400 yds in the air and find a stud TE in a trade, that combined with their D will have them playing at the end of January again.
