Has anyone else noticed an increase in the degree of screening lately? Ex/ providing ID, work email, Linked In... etc...

Do most people just provide this info?

Im hesitant to provide this type of info as ive been burned in the past.

Note: I get the need for a degree of safety.

I’ve never been asked to supply any info. Aside from a well-known reputable lady asking for verification purposes, I might consider it. But anyone else, nope. Don’t need some sketchy provider shaking me down. “Send me money or I’ll tell your family, friends or co-workers that you contacted me”.
If they’re asking to see personal ID then you should be able to ask the same of them.

If a provider is asking for govt I'd, LinkedIn, work email and personal, that is just a big red flag, I don't bother wasting my precious time with those. Soon they will be asking for account details and ATM pin as screening process. What kind of screening is that and some guys just dumbly give them because they using their small head below to think.
