Screening for agencies?

After being in the hobby for a several months, I always wanted to try higher-end agencies like VME or WCA, but they all require to have at least some form of references from another "established" agency or indivual provider. In this case, what would count as a legit provider for them to pass their screening? Obviously if I could, I personally would want to avoid using my real information aka personal IDs or LinkedIn to verify. What's everyone's experience with those kinds of screening and booking processes for those agencies?

I've only been screened twice, but it was a while ago. Once for the Nguyen clan. They asked my my age and ethnicity, and at first when I said I was asian they said maybe not because I might know her in certain social circles. When I told them I moved from Ontario a good 6 years earlier they let me book Jada.

The second time was WCA. I had not seen anyone before then but I was trying to book Alanna Angel. They asked my ethnicity and age and then let me book her no problem. They didn't ask for any references or anything like that but this screening process was from several years ago, like 2018. They might be more strict now.

For an SP to be considered legit, in my mind, she should have at least one of the following:

• Several positive reviews on PERB
• Web site
• PERB ad
• Tryst ad
• Twitter account with SP followers

When I was screened by WCA and VME a couple of years ago, they had a more relaxed screening process. Their current screening process is more strict now but it’s worth it.

I usually give them references from an independent sp. The only bad experience I had was from WCA, I even gave them references from 2 independent reputable providers but they just ignored me.

We give references on request. Happens all the time. No problem.

Can you imagine giving up your personal and work information to faceless unaccountable groups of people working in legal grey area industries? I can't.

You don't know what security practices they're employing to store your information. You don't know whether they delete it. You don't know whether they share it.

Never know when it's going to come back to haunt you because if something happens (e.g. public doxxing, blackmail, etc.), you have no recourse.

I have no idea why everyone's so fine with these invasive "send me your LinkedIn, SIN, DNA test" booking requirements.

My answer to all this is POF and take by dollars elsewhere.
My best finds were all indies.....

I admit to forking over a government issued ID when I got tired of no responses from my references. Hope all is good.

No issues here. Usually give a reference either independent or another agency. Hopefully it weeds out the bad apples and leaves more time for the good guys!

WCA does not accept other agencies references. I don't see independents as I think the agency ladies are lower priced and just as good looking or better than indies. Its a catch 22 to get into WCA

I don't see agency or indies that require personal info so not an issue for me. It's all about flying under the radar for both provider and myself. I doubt very much if any of these agencies/indies would provide you with the providers actual name and past employment history for your protection.
