I’ll be visiting from Alberta this week. I have experience with SPs there - where I use a different forum more common to my area. I’m wondering if the rules of communication or etiquette is different in Vancouver. It seem like one has to have the perfect message to even get a response. And receiving more hostility than I would’ve expected for basic questions. Maybe scheduling same week is frowned upon here?

If your initial text is "Can I see u" or something stupid like that they likely won't even respond. What I've done is just say "Hey my name is [first name], I'm [x years old]. I would like to see you on [exact date and time] if you're free. Let me know if you have any screening requirements, etc.".

What are these basic questions? If they're things that are readily available on their ads then yeah you might get hostility.

Scheduling same week I don't think is frowned upon but obviously, think about it yourself, the more notice you can give the better. If your boss schedules you to work in 2 days without giving you an prior notice, you would be a bit ticked off too!

I had so far no issues. Just spend 5 minutes to go through their website, you can gather info there. And text your info and be a nice guy. It isn't hard.

If the SP has a website, make sure you read it. They often list etiquette and screening requirements. They may also require you to fill in a screening form and provide all required info in your first email. Just follow the instructions on their website.
Yea, this I understand. But I don’t think omitting some information accidentally should lead to insults or disrespect. Anyone is capable of a minor error. Recently got insults from an SP after following up on a request. Simply because I sent all the information broken out in more than one text message.

As the other poster stated, maybe it’s because yvr ladies are more busy or something. Still think they can be a respectful way to say “hey, I’m not available” or explain what the issue is in a respectful way. Without ghosting or insults. Funny that same provider - Lyla Bardot - replied to this thread. Lol. Oh well. I’m not used to the scene here, which is I was wondering if there are some unspoken yvr rules I don’t know of. Haha.

I hear you. A minor error shouldn’t result in an insult. Screening goes both ways. If you don’t get a good vibe from her, move on to the next SP and try to follow their screening process precisely next time.

Yup. Fair point. And any rude text conversation means no booking. Which means my $$ and time is saved to be spent on something else, or with a different more respectful provider. Lol.
