Well it is not passed in to law yet
And that part of the law will not stand up to constitutional challenge.
Hopefully that will be addressed with in the Parliament and Senate befor bring passed.

Personally it does not effect me from the drinking point of view..but it easily would pass over in to other improper searches..

As he said in his speech we must stand on guard to keep those rights we were granted.. Because the zealous law changers that we vote in don't seem to know what the rights of all Canadian are.As we well know with the passing of bill 36 and a few other.

He has jumped on Harper's style of hiding really bad crap inside the fine print of bills.

The two issues need to be separated into two specific bills. One bill for marijuana. One bill for impaired driving.

A Supreme Court challenge would be inevitable. Unreasonable search is just asking for it. Maybe it was just delegated to an incompetent staffer to write the thing while their boss was off taking selfies.

Ether way, people need to get on their MPs' ass about this. Phone their office, pose your question to their staff clearly and directly, and demand a clear explanation in writing.
