SC similar to TO?

Diamonds.....my first impression:
1) $6 dollar cover charge (not impressed !)
2) expect a body "pat down" at the door
3) expect to show your ID whether you're 20, 40, or 60
4) the time I went there, the ATM machine was down, so I went to the counter to "buy" $40. The bartender was glad to help me out, for a $3 "service fee".
5) Beers/coolers cost over $6
6) Expect to get invited back to a "back room" by a 20 something chicky...for a mere $35 per song. (I never went...put my money in my jeans !).
I and five friends left it after an hour and vowed not to return as we didn't see any value in the money that we had spent.
My two cents......

$3.00 ATM fee?? Good thing you weren't on the north side.. When I was there the ATM fee was $12!! Sounds like you got a bit of a deal..

The closest you'll come to the TO experience is Chez Pierre's, and even that is a pale comparison. If you're one to drop a lot of coin in strip clubs, then you're better off springing for a Westjet ticket out there and back.
That is pretty the lowdown there in regards to Diamonds or any other place.
I'm from T.O. and I can tell you that Edmonton sucks in comparison. There is no lap dances, the shit is overpriced ($10 door charge for Chaz Pierre) and the girls were not that great in terms of looks.
Don't waste any money here.

Joker, i totally agree with ya man - i lived down in T.O. for a time,and man, i felt right at home at places like the Brass Rail, of Course Whisky A-go-go(probably called somethin else now) Club features and Caddy's just to name a few of my fav's....the Chicks were smokin hot, and u let your hands touch and wander during the lap dances - i miss that. Since i've been back here, lemme tell ya, I have not bothered with the Strip Clubs!
Ya, I agree edmonton SCs are terrible, Whiskey A-go-go brings back great memories, Damn I need to head back east. Dont waste your time or money with SCs in edmonton

Just transplanted from Ontario.
My first Edmonton SC experience was last month on a scouting trip. Went to Diamonds, some beautiful girls. But, as noted above, a total disappointment in the VIP room, nothing but air.
I don't know why, but I went back earlier this evening. Got there before the cover charge, so just had to pay the inflated beer prices. I came to appreciate that the stage shows are what SC's are about here, and they are way better than 95% of what you see back east. So, if you like the pole dances, enjoy what you have here, it's tough to beat. If you like VIP, may I suggest the Sundowner in Niagara Falls or any number in Toronto or Mississauga (Midway Invader probably being my favourite).

I was in Montreal last year found all the sc's offer the same as mentioned in TO. Out west it's always been a differnent story. Whether it's Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton or Winnepeg, the SC's only offer "feature dancing" and that's it. Either way, it can be very pricey over time and for the $$$ one will spend would probably be better spent with a hot sp. However, it was nice change of pace to find these places out east.
That's right! What's that all about anyway? It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
As much as I hate to say anything nice about Toronto, anyone who's been to the Brass Rail, etc. in TO will be disappointed by Edmonton SCs. VIP Rooms in Edmonton are BORING -- no touching, etc., at least in my experience. The whole SC scene in Edmonton is dull, tacky, and overpriced. Chez Pierre's is totally depressing. Maybe if you're drunk, 19, and never seen a pair of breasts before, then you'll get something out of an Edmonton SC. Otherwise, drop into an MP and invest your money there! Or, go to Vegas and check out the nightlife there!
You don't invest money at an MP, you just give it away..... Oh, wait, that is like the stock market now, isn't it?
