Saudi Arabia - What clothing should I be packing this time of year

Having been there:
Wear conservative clothing with long sleeves. Shorts are a no-no, t-shirts etc are also not advised. I would invest in some loose fitting cottons, although this time of year isn't to bad. If you are taking a woman with you, she will have to be fully covered although if she is western she can expose her face. She should wear something over her hair though.
I don't envy you, the entire Arabian peninsula should be nuked back to the stone age so it can try again.

Yup, and even western women with darker skin should cover their faces. I was there with a GF that was half Saudi and even though she was from the west, you couldn't tell.....and we had one or two run in's.....if it is just you, then do as the shadow man says....also for me, a hat was needed for the sun.
Also, if you are going alone, don't even think of flirting with the women unless you are in the lobby of a very western hotel and flirting with a caucasion chick.
