Am I the only one who DIDN'T have a good steak there? Oh right, my "date" didn't either.
We both ordered ours rare and got it medium. Yeck! I was quite surprised to say the least. Once can be a fluke. Two is just ridiculous!
The service and decor were superb though.
Gothams will never capture the excellence that Hy's steakhouse has been dolling out for over 47 years!I'm sorry to hear that.

I have never had even a slightly unpleasant experience there.
Even when entertaining some folks from Kansas City, MO. I chose Hy's & they did not disappoint.
In fact, when we finished my guests admitted that Hy's was as good as any steakhouse they have been to in North America.

I say go there & make sure you have a table within view of the chef at the grill so you can see the flames dance.
I have to agree, took my wife there for her Birthday last year, the food was marginally better then the KEG, but significantl;y more $$$, I was expecting top notch, but I didn't get it!
