I've been searching the various FTA forums, but need an answer from anyone local.

I want to watch shows like "Sciscia la Notizia" (sp) and other variety and talk shows with scantily clad Italian women that these programs are famous for. I've seen some streamed on the internet, and the little tiny outfits these gorgeous girls wear in these shows are amazing. Tits popping out all the time and occasionally you see some pussy when their little panties get pushed aside under their tiny skirts :)

RAI is state run, but does it have this kind of content? What about other networks? Which sats?

Thanks for that.
I get both dishnet and bell, but I don't get the racy Italian variety shows. There must be a satellite that I can point to to get them!

You can find the hack file on the internet easily. You just download them and load them onto your receiver. It's easier than paying someone to have to come to your house to do it for you.

Have you tried Nimiq 2 / 82 on Bell? That's where all the extra international channels are.

There's a listing of the content of that satelite at www.lyngsat.com

Go out and get a Sonicview 1000, IMHO, Sonicview offer the best support out of the major FTA IRD (Viewsonic, Coolsat).

If you own a HDTV, you might want to wait a few weeks, Coolsat and Sonicview are coming out with HD IRDs, but they're not cheap, they will set you back over $500 (between $525-$575).

If you're starting from scratch, you will need to purchase a dish as well, the DISH 500 will run you about $100. If you plan on just getting BEV or DISH, buy a switch 21 as well, but if you want to get BOTH then you can try and use the Diseq switch that comes with the IRD. But be warn these switches are not 100% relialble, but when they are you get over 600 channels.

You can get all your satellite stuff at Incredibles, Unit 106-13569 76Ave (NW corner of 76 Ave and King George)

Thanks for all the help. I already do have a Sonicview 1000. My only beef with it is that it cant do HD. Do you know if and when the new Sonicview comes out that is HD capable, if the files that support descrambling will be as readily available? Possibly the same file as for the existing Sonicview 1000?

What's a Dish 500? I've got a "Multisat" that's over 30". Is that better?

Anyway, I'm getting Nimiq 1 and 3, Echo* 6 7 and 8. I see the BEV on there, but don't know if that's on another sat or what. It's all brand new to me, and though it's a lot of fun ..... I'm still missing all the racy Italian variety shows I was expecting to get. Someone told me that it's not possible to get European channels because the sats are not over us, but I find it hard to believe I can get Al Jazeera but can't get Italian TV.

You know of any way?

Satellite Dishes

On the same note but different......I am thinking about getting a dish, but I want to be able to get the US channels like scifi, military history, etc.

Any opinions?

yeah no sweat. Military is a warmonger's dream.... lots of technology (mostly US) and showing their destructive power. Little is ever said about those who would die if they were the victims of it, but that would eventually keep viewers away and kill the channel.

A Dish500 is a dish that can handle two LNB's meaning that you can use one dish and get 110 and 119 for Dish OR 82 and 91 for BEV. Advantage is that you don't have 4 dishes on your roof (to get all the DISH and BEV channels) you only have 2 dishes. The disadvantage, you must find someone that have installed a dish before, cause it's more tricky setting the dish up for BEV, you must skew the dish as well as setting the angle and the point the dish.

The bigger the dish the better, means less chance of rain fade...but make sure the dish is mounted with big screws into the stud. Needless to say, with a bigger dish, the dish not only weighs more, but also catches a lot more wind (with all this wind storm we've been getting). IF the dish rips off the stud, the damage can be very exspensive. :(

Westie, if you want to watch the US channel, and the Superbowl (american commerical)....you want Dishnetwork, which is 110/119.

As I mentioned Sonicview and Coolsat are coming out with HD IRD's should be out soon (before the end of the month), the script needed for the IRD's are NOT the same as the current script for the non HD IRD'S....you will need to download the right script for the right IRD. Go to www.sattech.ca and www.hashhu.com to learn more about this.
