The state of Nevada legalized prostitution. It can be done in an ethical/respectful/fair way.
I agree that Nevada is the best place for providers in the US, however, it has its pitfalls.

I know that when I was living down there the girls had to pay out lots. Typically the house got half, then the tax man got a good chunk, and then the servers, cleaners and even the taxi driver got their cut. At the end of the day, that $500 US/hour means $150/hour to the girl. In addition, the licensing of these establishments has been limited to the families who have run these places for decades. Decriminalization is probably a better option but the providers should have a lot of input on the reform. They are the ones providing the services, enduring the life and taking the risks.

If PP gets elected, will he follow the Saskatchewan approach? It will be interesting to see the impact on our lobby of a different party playing to its base.

Disagree if you want, lay down some knowledge to contradict it.

The Saskatchewan Party was formed because the previous provincial Progressive Conservatives in SK got destroyed at the ballot box after some huge scandal. So they just invented a new name-plate for the same movement.
This strategy is not new in politics: Cast aside the name, but keep the ideology and most of the people involved with it. Maybe harden the ideology in a new faction, then once the old leaders are gone and old party name killed off, return to unity under the new name.
The fact they might be a different registered organization is meaningless; it's just on paper, so they can shed to old party's reputation (and its debts).

If I am wrong, name any time on the last 10 years that the SK Party were ever on the opposite side of any issue from the Reform/Alliance/CPC federally. Name any time that Scott Moe was not in lockstep with everything Harper, Scheer, or Poilievre also believed, or ever failed to use his position as Premier to bolster their efforts federally.

The Nevada precedent, is a step in the right direction, but far from perfect, with so many restrictions, and guidelines.
In Canada the subject is not a priority for any federal party(maybe NDP but they are weak)

On a municipal level, usually it takes complaints for the police to be bothered by it.

Regarding legal prostitution in Nevada. Although step in the right direction, as far I understand a street Walker in Vegas will still likely to get arrested, because you can ONLY do it in “licensed brothels” in a designated geographic location. So technically speaking in my understanding the profession as a whole did NOT get decriminalized. Not sure if the classification of the offence got reduced for anyone conducting business not in the designated locations.
nevertheless a step in the right direction.

Perhaps the Australia example would work better with our similar legal systems, but I do not know too much about the situation there.

Kudos to Vancouver and its surrounding cities police. As long as minors not involved, they won’t waste their resources on minding what 2 consenting adults do in privacy.
Only until, person is not a threat. Everything starts popping up in open if someone at higher position doesnt like the person or point of view, all the privacy just vanishes.
