This is just adding to the pile, but here goes. I realize a lively board has a lot of topics, but it's starting to become ridiculous. For those of us who don't live on the site and only check in once a week or so the number of topics and polls are impossible to keep up with. Even if I partake of a topic, by the time I get back a few days later the responses could be a page or two back. I don't know the answer to the problem, but that's my two-cents.

There is an option (see next line) that will email you whenever someone replies to a thread of your choosing.
Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible.

What do you expect the people to do ..not discuss topics and wait until your back ? , no offense .... this is a messageboard.. some boards move a message a second..

what you are asking other members to do. I mean the One's that you say "Live" on the board. Should we stop posting so other's can catch up? the email feature is a good one to do as you will be notified when someone else posts although you may not be notified of any further posts until you revistit the site again after the initial notification. other than that there is no solution that I can see unless you want others to be prohibited from posting so much.

I dont think there is a point gang of writing a response... remember Cock Throppled only checks once per week ... not a shot at him ..just the facts so check back next Tuesday for a response..

Calm down. I realize a lot of people check the board a lot. That's fine. I suppose some may be over-doing it - just like over-doing visiting any other site to the exclusion of other activities, but most just pop in every so often. I sometimes check every day and other times once a week. I'm not making any judgements here. It does seem some new subjects are very trivial. I'm obviously not alone in that thinking because often there is little response. If it is a subject I'm interested in it's sometimes difficult tracking down the thread when I can't remember what the original topic name was.
