OMG.
Oh Em Gee.

Every time I get rude phone call, I get so angry and sad that I have to make a new pot of coffee.

A big part of my job includes talking to strangers over a phone.
I need to be as charming as possible, but let's be honest, sometime I want to throw my phone when the other side is rude.

Being rude to stranger is resulted from many many negative elements in the individual's disposition, I believe. I get angry because someone just thought he does not need to spend some respect to other people (which is me), and I get sad because that's the society I'm living in.

Well, most of these stories becomes funny one after while.
Ladies and gentlemen, any stories regarding with the rude and inappropriate phone conversation?

(this thread is for sharing stories of phone calls only.)

I just had a phone call from a gentlemen with thick east Indian accent.

He asked me if I'm a Japanese.
I said yes, I am.

He asked me if I'm 100% Japanese.
I said yes, I am.

He tried to test my Japanese by saying something in Japanese.

I'm not good at understanding English with accents.
I can't understand Japanese with thick accent without knowing the context.

I said I'm sorry I don't understand what you just said.

He hung up the phone.

He hung up the phone on me.

I was speechlessly pissed off that I had to roll around on the floor like a meatball.

I get rude calls all the time! Angie, you're lucky that those things don't happen to you anymore. I've only been doing this for a few months and I've already gotten used it, you can't even get mad anymore! lol. People hang up on me if I'm too expensive for them, people are constantly calling, making an appointment just to not show up. So I make sure before I leave to go to my incall that I text back and forth a bit to confirm they are in fact coming, then and only then will I text them the address, lol. And yeah there's lots of people who just want to have phone sex, so I cut that conversation short, lol. A bit of flirting's great, but then you catch on that they're not actually going to make an appointment, they just want to get off without paying for a phone sex hotline! lol. It's actually pretty ridiculous how many people do these things, lol, like I said I've only been doing this since the summer and I used to get mad Yoko, but it happens so often you really can't let it get to you or you'll go nuts, lol. Just gotta laugh and be glad you're not these people. Sorry that wasn't really any funny stories just a rant! :p

Worst screening ever! If he wanted to make sure you were japanese why didn't he ask you to speak some rather then expect you to understand his butchered attempt at it?

Hi

Yes Angie, you are lucky!
I get those phone calls from either Monday Mag or backpage.
Just like Violet says, if I'm too expensive, they just hung up.

"what? You charge $220?? How about $100 for half hour?"
"I don't negotiate, I'm sorry (and I'm annoyed at this point already)

Hung up.

Aaaaaaggggggghhhhhhh!

Yes, my consumption of coffee is skyrocket due to those idiots.

Alinburnaby, the Japanese sentence is incorrect, by the way!
But thank you for your suggestion!

I don't get silly phone calls anymore since CL's demise either.

I think younger women get the burden of silly calls. I used to get those calls asking me if my pussy was pretty and to describe it ??

I have a friend who is 22 and escorts, and the phone calls she gets are very discouraging. She receives many disrespectful callers and her attitude toward men has really gone down!

Keep smiling Yoko, your comments are very funny!

That is funny!

When I first started seeing escorts, I would only see the women that insisted on e-mail contact (at least initially) as I knew they would be serious. I assumed the escorts that were phone only were either scammers or, at best, not very careful about who they saw. It was also easier to get my message across without wondering if the person on the other end is in a supermarket. Recently, I have met with a few "phone only" gals - I know, fucking daring eh! I have to say, to this day, I have yet to have a bad experience, between this board and my intuition.

I did have a rude call the other day - first and only one. After some brief chat, gal on the other end says "Did you aleady call me?" Me: "Um, no..." Her: "Yeah, I think you did, and you're just speaking slower now." Me: Thoughtbubble - WTF? Her: "Have a good night." Click.

I thought to myself, wow, you must be having a shitty night. But I was also glad she blew me off cuz she did not sound like a happy person.

When I first started working and posting my phone number, I got a fair bit of annoying callers... But over time they subsided. The 2 most recent and annoying calls I had were:

- Guy calls after my posted availability... I answer my phone and give information, also letting him know I'm all done for tonight but will be available the next day. He pushes for an appointment for that evening, I still say no sorry. He asks why not, I say I'm not available after 5:30pm today, that's it. He replies with "Whats the problem?! You don't like cock after 5:30pm?!" I just hung up.

- Blocked number calls, I pick up thinking it's a friend of mine calling me right back (as she only ever called from a blocked number) only to realize its a male voice on the line. He starts asking about services and restrictions. I tell him to call back from unblocked number to book, he said yes that's fine.. What are your rates? I tell him rates and he asks if I would consider going lower in price.. I say no, I don't negotiate. He replies in a condescending tone "Well, I'm just looking at your pictures and I prefer someone a bit slimmer anyways" and hangs up, he tried it a second time but I recognized his voice and hung up before he was able to get his way again.

- Also, the guys who text "Hey" or "What's up?" only as initial contact or who just beat around the bush. I'm really not a cold person or harsh, but can you just get to the point already?!

Sometimes I get calls like that, there are times when you have to join them.. For example I get a call hey waddup.. Me: Yo home boy are you a wanna be gangster? I don't do gangster. Try and talk normally. Him: (*&()Y)*(Y Me: You don't have game boi, go back to your hood!

For the ones who call and ask where I live, right off the bat (usually ESL EI) I ask well where do YOU live? Do you DO massage? That ensures a quick hang up...:pound:

And she is so damn cute and such a sweetheart.
Oh I'm flattered.

I also get a phone call from guys who cannot even say hello before he gets into what he wants.

Me: hello?

Idiot: hey, you open now?

Me: I think you have a wrong number, looking for a Chinese restaurant?

I don't know where people learn phone etiquette these days, but I wonder if no one have give those people a big poop for not being able to express minimum politeness over phone.

My worst phone call, actually, was not from clients.

This is when I was working at a research institute...

Me: hello, thank you for calling, [yada yada yada company name], how may I help you, mam? ( yes, it was a woman)
Her: Let me speak with someone who can speak English.
Me: ...... Oh I speak English, how may I help you?
Her: I meant real English.
Me: ..........
.....................
......................
( ̄◇ ̄)!

I was sooooo mad that I almost wanted to tell her "B***h, you wanna hear how a jap c**t can swear in your smelly t***t?"

I worked as an escalations manager for a few years for the credit card dept of a bank, needless to say I got my fair share of calls ranging from Bizarre to having death threats made against me:pound:.

Considering the majority of daily communications are through impersonal formats like e-mail, texts and various chat programs, the resulting in degradation of interpersonal skills such as verbal communication is a result of bad etiquette as shown in the examples above.

Sometimes, it pays to use *69, to reverse call someone who is being ignorant / or an asshole, and when they answer, just say, "Fuck you very much!", then you hang up on them.....

OR ~ just ignore the ignorant people.... and know that life is too short to waste any of it on assholes....

And remember, for every ass hole out there ~ there are twice as many appreciative and respectful blokes....

"cha-ching" - my two cents....

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
I try let rude people bother me either on the phone or in real life.
These guys usually fall into one of these categories. They either didn't get beat up enough in school, have an ugly, fat, frigid wife at home, are compensating for a small penis or have erectile dysfunction.
The women are likely not getting any or enough good sex.
