As I am thinking about getting a Netbook, I am also thinking about signing up for a Rogers Rocket Stick.

Do any of you guys have any experience using any of the Rogers rocket sticks? I am thinking about getting the HSPA+ Rocket™ Stick -- ZTE MF668: http://www.rogers.com/web/link/wire...&productId_Detailed=MF668R&N=52+11+4294948701

As for the plan, I was thinking about the Mobile Hi-Speed Internet Flex Rate Data Plan at $35.

Questions: How's the speed for Rogers Rocket Stick and is the plan a good deal?

They gave me a promo, but I didn't go for it. Haha!
What kind of a promo is that if an existing customer has to pay the same price as a brand new customer?

Both Rogers and Telus offer a Netbook with a SIM Card built in. Speed is Excellent, same as the Rocket Stick, with nothing extra to buy or carry around. The bill for moderate use is around $50 a month.

Don't touch mobile internet, its a waste of money.
3g is SLOW, the bandwidth limits are way too low.

There is WiFi everywhere, there is no reason at all to waste money on a mobile stick. Even on my iPhone I do not have a data plan as I can always find free WiFi nearly anywhere, same with my laptop.

Until they remove the bandwidth usage limits on mobile internet it will not be worth it, never mind that 4g internet is going to be much much faster (100 megs).
3g in Canada is like 4megs down (they can still make it faster), I don't know since they made it a bit faster, but still too slow.

The only reason to get it is if you are not paying for internet at home and you are JUST going to use it for looking at websites and message boards, because if you even go on youtube you will go over your bandwidth limit in a week easy.

I agree, I have the Telus internet key and it works great as long as you have a strong signal. It works great for normal surfing...I have even used it to VPN to my work network with it and used remote desktop and connected to my companies VOIP phone system. No problems at all! Only issues I may see is if you are downloading large files. But if you're a regular user, you should love it.
