Awhile back i had one mouse in the house and it wasnt so bad. I baught a few traps and caught nothing. I thought nothing of it but noticed one day it had a big belly. I thought wtf and the next thing u know we had 4 rodents running around chewing up bags n pooping everywhere. Spent a bunch of money and finally got rid of those nasty buggers...might throw a party now:)

I put these glue traps in every room of the house. Leave good snacks like chips or cheese in the traps lol. Even thought about getting a cat if the glue traps didnt work:p

Cats are probably the best way to kill rodents. Get two, and they'll be gone forever even from the yard (where probably half of them live - the other half in your house). The great thing about cats is that they're on 24 hour watch in and out of the house once they realize there are rats!

And if you don't want cats in your yard or house, peanut butter on the
trap works wonders. The little buggers can't resist it !

Uhhh, just to make sure, I meant it for the mouses. :D

The best way to get rid of rodents...

Is to become a millionaire....and then MOVE to an area like Eagle Ridge in West Van or Waterfront on bowen island where all the eagles and the birds kill the rodents.

You have to even leash you mini poochies around there. Squirrels don't even last in those neighborhoobs.

So its not that hard. Just be a millionaire, buy yourself some west van waterfront and BOOM! problem solved":)

Those glue traps are fukin brutal, had a mouse in the house once and caught the little basturd in one of those , it chewed it's own leg off . Set a spring trap with some cheese and got him a few days later.Dirty little critters for sure.

Isn't that always the problem with parasites? If you don't do anything about them, the next thing you know they start having babies and you get MORE parasites...

home depot sells these mouse pellets. apparently what happens is when the mouse eats them they bleed internally until they die. and then the remains of the body disintegrates in whatever hole it was sitting in so there's no mess to clean up. i don't know how much i beleive of that but damn it, if i ever caught a mouse in my house (dr suess?) and it had gotten into my protein powder that's the fate i'd want it to suffer.

True....

But becoming a millionaire and moving to waterfront properties is always an option:D

When I was a kid growing up, we had rats in the walls of the house we lived in (old house 1912). They would run around at night in the walls of my bedroom and make a noise like it was a freakin DOG in there. I was so freaked out that most nights I couldn't sleep. Practically every night I slept all curled up in a ball cause I thought they were coming through the walls and into my bed.

Eventually this changed but it was freaky at the time. People didn't believe me cause they were never physcially in the house but only in the walls and active at night ( bastards!) I hate rats and mice. But I would prefer that the eagles eat them rather than my chihuahuas. So that part is cool.

No doubt!

The problem is is that when you are a kid....ya can't really take off and live in a car..or a van:rolleyes: . I mean maybe you CAN but I didn't know anyone at 11 that had a car/van. Maybe like a Barbie dream car but that's about it. I was better off with the rats in the walls then moving away from home at that age methinks:(

i'd hate to live in a house with rats. been there and i hated it. like tiff, i couldn't sleep properly either (mostly cuz i get up about 3-4 times per nite to go have something to drink). but the funny part was that we discovered the mice because they chewed thru my gym bag and ate parts of a protein bar, part of an animal pak (vitamins) and some fat burners. i think that mouse probably killed himself from the caffeine in the burners but if he didn't die then he probably came back stronger.

LoL i know as a kid u cant really move away. Im sure as a adult you would never live in a place with rats. I remember as a child my parents where bringing me to movies with lots of sex and violence. That's why im kinda screwed up as a adult:rolleyes: There are some things a child should never go through and living with rats are one of them

Get yourself some essence of peppermint, and put some where the rodents come out from, it drives them crazy, they'll just not come near it.
