I saw Big George fight Kenny Lakusta in Edmonton at the start of his comeback. He didn't sit between rounds, bscically let Lakusta fire away for a couple of rounds and then ended it with a body shot. Virtually lifted him off the ground, kinda like a cartoon you'd swear you could see the punch coming through his back.

Sad to hear this.
I watched the biopic Big George Foreman I think on Netflix a few months back and understand that was pretty accurate.
I still have my trusty George Foreman Grill after about 15 years of relatively steady use. Makes awesome grilled cheese sandwiches and grilled chicken breasts amongst other tasty dishes.
Thanks Big George for that and for being one of the good guys!

I also use a Foreman Grill.... had it for years and still doe the job.

George was one scary heavy weight when he turned pro. It was a peak boxing era. The heavies dominated rhe scene Ali, Frazier, Norton Quarry, Chuvalo, Lyle , Shaver and Terrell and more. They fought each other and had 3-4:eek:r more fights a year 15 rounds then.Formen knocked Fazier down 6 times in 1 round. He devastated every one. Folks were afraid he might kill Ali. He was a mean mother in the Sonny Liston way. The Rumble in the Jungle. The rope a dope. Today , conspiracy theories would abound. He punched himself out in the heat. Ali took tremendous punishment as was the plan. After the fact George was reborn as a boxer, preacher, talk show guest and pitch man. A completely different guy. Sadly only he and Chuvalo came through those wars mostly intact.
