I just want to point out that part of her physical changes are certainly due to her drinking and drugs addictions but she was also anorexic (or bulimic?), which is a whole different problem and one a lot of people struggle with, whether or not they also suffer from substance abuse. I just wanted to mention it because to say all of it was due to her substance abuse/addiction misses part of the real reasons IMO. Additionally, I don't even think drug abuse/addiction was the main culprit:
Mitch Winehouse said this week that his daughter had been off hard drugs for three years, and was trying to tackle the alcohol problems that were so painfully apparent in Serbia.
"People focus on the drugs, but the biggest problem was Amy's alcoholism," said Hernu. "It had the worst effect on her little frame. It basically gave in."
