I've been a regular of this sp for over 8 years now. I have no complaints about the costs of their services. Generally the reception is good. I tried to reduce my donation by going with another plan about half a year ago and something got messed up with the billing. Apparently the phone lady told me that they somehow managed to charge me by the minute for every call I made without acknowledging the minutes that I should have free. Somehow this added up to an average of $200 per month on my credit card for about a 6 month period. Now whenever I call to check on the status of their "investigation", they tell me to leave a message and they never call me back.

If anyone else has this same problem, I'll put this up on the neighbourhood watch section.

Never, BUT NEVER!!!!! put any monthly billing on a credit card.

ALWAYS get a monthly bill you have to pay by internet or by cheque.

You are always in a stronger position if they do not already have your money.

Scutinize every bill you receive, check for errors, early detection means less hassle and usually a satisfactory solution.

Agree 100%!

I've been with Rogers at least as long as you, DavidLin, but I've always paid them after receiving the bill. They never get their hands on my money until I get to review the charges. So far, things have been fine.

In fact, they even went so far as to tell me a few of months ago that I've been such a good customer (in spite of a few late payments over the years), that they gave me a couple of $50 discounts when I was having trouble with my wayward teenaged daughter racking up some extra peak minutes. We have a family plan with 300 peak minutes between our personal phones and my business phone and normally none of the phones has much reason to get used during peak hours, but last year she got a bit too chatty and had to fork over some extra money to pay her portion of the bill (she has a full-time job and no excuse). Needless to say, the discounts came in handy when she took her time paying up.

The only little problems I've had are things like non-essential features, like Caller Ring Trax, not working temporarily.

LOL.

Call your credit card company and you should be able to get your money back. Complain about unauthorized charges.
I called my credit card company for almost the same problem with bell, they told me to send a letter to notify the company to stop using my credit card, and they have 30 days to do so. You may want to send them a registered letter, so you ca prove you did it to your credit card co....
