Whoa... 8 years is hard to explain away. A couple of years you can say you were trying to find yourself. A few years you can say you were a caretaker of some sort. I would try to take a course or two in something first and sort of bump up the skills/training vs experience. So if they ask you what you've been up to lately, you can at least say you were upgrading your skills.

The other alternative is to say you ran your own businesss for a time but felt it was time for a change. That can easily explain away 8 years, and is quite truthful.
Question: After 8 years... why go back to a civy life?

Yeah. Fell for that a couple of times. It's hard to take anyone's retirement really seriously. Especially since everything seems to come back periodically. I'm referring more to those ladies who have dropped off the radar for more than a year...

I noticed the price point too. I can understand touring ladies increasing their price point to account for the cost of touring. The cost of extras and service levels don't seem to gel well with local standards. It'll be interesting to see if they come back. There are a couple of names I see that are repeat visitors so obviously they either like the climate weather or financial. The newer ladies, it'll be interesting to see if they can justify coming back without adjust their expectations.

No kidding, one of my regulars back in the day said she was moving to Alberta forever and that I should see her one last time. So I went to see her one last time...

Get a text from her 2 weeks later and she says that Alberta wasn't for her and she's back and was wondering if I wanted to come see her LOL.

they probably get tons of business because customers LOVE a new face....thats why many SPs are constantly rebranding, changing names/numbers and photos to appear new to drum up interests if business is stale.

Took a peak and found nothing related to her name? 1) I would be very wary of backpage nowadays. You never really know if it's legit. 2) A reputable lady such as Sandi, who has stellar reviews to back her...I'm very skeptical why she would have to change her name?

I wouldn't bank on any of these ladies mentioned returning.

So based on this argument, 100% of the time, when a SP announces she is retiring, she is basically lying. Based on that same argument, SPs will continuously work until they drop dead from old age.

I know several SPs whom I met through my time as one, that have retired, and have not worked for years, myself included.

When I retired, it was not fake, that much I know. It is 3 years later, and if I decide to come back, it could be due to changing circumstances of why I originally retired, or one of many other reasons.

I assure you, to take several years off from work (and not making money from it) to fake a retirement does not get justified by that small influx of cash from the clients in panic who saw me for "one last time".

Perhaps you should allow some room in your advice to the guys, for some SPs that are honestly retiring. Do you hate your fellow workers? Will you NEVER retire?
