Thank you, Winnipeg!
Well, I must say: Winnipeg is a fabulous place to visit! I met the best people! I found Winnipeg
ites to be friendly and fun. I was able to meet a member of this board, who was delightful company. I spoke with a female member of this board who graciously invited me to visit: though it didn't work out this time, I would love to meet next time! She had been so helpful with Winnipeg information.
I LOVED the shopping! I will be booking with my photographer soon so I can show off my new leather boots... up to the thigh, gotta love 'em! I also loved the incredible deal on a waist cincher. I bought a fragrance named 'Alien' which I had not seen in Regina.
Of course, if I come back too often I will never save my pennies...
I am happily anticipating my return. There are more places I want to check out, and definately some places I want to return.
Out of my entire trip, I have only one complaint: The H*mpt*n.
I liked my room. I loved my jacuzzi (pruning skin is not so bad...). The problem: they did not mention that they have a 500 deposit requirement on a jacuzzi suite. My cash was to be for gas and food, and the credit card was to be for shopping and the room.
I'm not rich. I budgeted this trip. I had enough room on the card for 3 nights and a bit extra. Because they sprung this 500, I had to use some of my cash to pay for some of the room and the credit card funds ended up being frozen... long stupid complicated story. Neither the website, nor the confirmation of the room message said anything about the 500 deposit. If I had known, I could have budgeted. You expect 100 difference to occur in a vacation budget. No big deal. 500 is
a lot when you have not planned for such a contingency.
It took me a half hour to check in, and more than that to check out getting them to talk to my credit card company to unfreeze my funds so I could drive home...
(ps: The 500 applies only to the jacuzzi suite, they say... I heard the words "policy" so often, and not one apology for inconvenience.)
Does anyone know of another good hotel? I don't want to stay there... but I'll miss the jacuzzi...

But back to 'the happy': Almost my entire trip was absolutely terrific! I hope I meet more friends there so I have people to hang/party/eat/shop with!
Oh, and the customer service at the restaurants, clubs and shops was superb!
Winnipeg Rocks!
