"Phase one means sports teams can play games outside and diners can eat inside restaurants but you’ll have to wait to throw a big party or go see a movie in a theatre"

British Columbians can now host a dinner party with up to five other people, attend an outdoor event or wedding with up to 50 people, participate in outdoor recreation and sports, and dine indoors at a restaurant in parties no larger than six people.

Tuesday marked the first of B.C.’s four-step reopening plan, which is tied to first-dose vaccination rates and envisions a return to normal life expected by early September. (See bottom of this story for a breakdown of the four steps.)

Lockdowns do not work, Canada has been in serious Lockdown for so long and look at the results.

The Trudeau government propaganda at it’s best…..
Travel ban is a joke in BC……when hundreds from other provinces come here.
For those who live in there mother’s basement …… stay in there and be safer.

The USA is not Canada or India or Malaysia, etc. Every place has its own unique situation re covid. It's not a one size fits all, we can all just copy cat what the USA is doing, and everything will work out fine (hunky dory).

"The CDC’s new mask guidelines could actually increase risk of spreading Covid at work and in public, scientists say":
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/20/cdc-...aboolainternal

Malaysia now has more Covid cases per million people than India
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/26/covi...aboolainternal

"India isn’t the only one. Covid cases are rising at record levels in these places too
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/25/covi...aboolainternal

Lockdowns do not work, Canada has been in serious Lockdown for so long and look at the results.
The most important results are that Canada has more than 550,000 fewer dead people than the USA, & unlike Canada the USA has one of the world's worst covid death rates & is the world leader in covid deaths. The USA is probably also worse off re survivors suffering severe illness & "long covid". Moreover, with greater vaccine hesitancy, the USA may soon fall behind Canada in % fully vaccinated. Canada is already ahead in % who have received at least one dose. Canada's health approach re covid may have been towards greater safety of its citizens & caution than the USA approach. We certainly have had much better results.

A word of caution with the D variant being spread around. The experts still don't know if the current vaccines will prove an effective measure against the D variant. The other thing is that mother nature may not be just done fucking with us with this covid virus, it still can mutate into something worse. Or produce something even more deadly.
So keeping your travel plans down to essential things like the necessities of life. Continue to isolate with a small group physically. After all most people have social media and still have phone and can keep in contact with other people those ways.
I will say that people travelling on planes in the last year since the outbreak, that about 80% didn't have to fly or go out of town (or country).
One thing that I did see, was escorts going to other places when their own area was going into lockdown.
It only takes 1 person to restart an plaque in a new area.....
So people squabbling about how they have to stay in their area, should shut the fuck up and listen; and do their part for public health!!!

News from the UK: In cases of infection from the Delta variant, 2x Pfizer & 2x AZ are 96% and 92% effective against hospitalization.

From what I have read, all attempts to intelligently discuss the matter with the Canadian government has been one sided. Canada is not going to relent on Point Roberts and make an exception to a small town that has over 85% of its residents fully vaccinated. Now that a potential 7/15/21 only grocery store is set to close I wonder if Trudeau will not allow its residents to drive over to BC and get food. Will WA governor Inslee have to ship over groceries on a boat till Canada hits its goal of 75% of its citizens fully vaccinated which from what I have read is going to happen until the fall or early winter.

Maybe good hearted Canadians will throw food over the border at night so Point Roberts does not go hungry and die.

Perhaps Trudeau should have a little heart on this matter don't you think?
