In the past week, I have about a half dozen reported posts or PMs saying something to the effect of "I know so and so and he/she doesn't want that review/issue/post to stay on PERB" We also get the usual, "I haven't seen her myself, but my friend says she's awesome" posts.
Both fall into the area of 3rd party information. We don't allow it to be posted and we don't act on it either. If a provider wants a DNR, they can contact us directly. If you want to post a review, you need to have seen the person in question yourself. We do this for good reason, it prevents malicious posts, and also 3rd party advertising. Lately as well, these have taken one of the worst forms, unfounded rumors of STIs. The posts in question are removed immediately. Infractions and bans can and will be assessed if the post is malicious and not simply innocent or a misunderstanding.
Also, one more reminder, NO BBFS TALK ON PERB. I had to ban someone today for a week who just didn't get the message or didn't listen. I really hate having to ban people, it's always a last resort, but there's been plenty of discussion of this and the rule has been around for over 15 years now.
