Hi nurse,

I had a one night stand back in december. We did 69 & oral sex without wearing condom but we weared the condom during the actual sex. I realized that my penis area had many red dots few days later and they are quite itchy. I went to doctor to do a test and everything is ok. A month later, I had sex with my girlfriend and we didnt wear condom. My girlfriend & I both have red dots in our private area and we both feel itchy as well.

I didn't have sex with any girl beside my gf after the test from my doctor.

Is this a sex disease? Please advise...

Hi massageboy

It is hard to diagnose conditions online as I would need to do a physical exam as well as some tests. What I can do is give you some suggestions on what it could be and what you should do next.

Given that you first noticed the red dots after having sex with a new partner and then your girlfriend noticed red dots after having sex with you, would make me think that it is something that is sexually transmitted.

Herpes will generally show up as open sores. Is your red dots open sores or just plain red dots? Also have the red dots been there all the time or do they come and go?

We don’t usually see yeast as a STI but I have seen some situations were it looks like a yeast infection has been transmitted sexually. Given that you mentioned red dots and itchiness I am wondering if this could also be a cause. Yeast infections are more common in men who are not circumcised.

It is great that you went for a test. I would suggest going back to the clinic you visited and tell them what you have written here.

It would be helpful if your girlfriend went to the clinic as well. I know at our clinic if both people have the same symptoms it makes the job of diagnosing the problem easier.

You could also send me a private message if you have more personal information you would like to discuss.
