Well over the 1.5 yrs of being a provider I have had a mix of good and bad moments. Some clients have been border line abusive, some sweet to me beyond words. Some have stolen from me and others have given wonderful gifts and tips that were completely unexpected.
The other day I have a client that wanted to use his credit card to pay for the session. After showing up he produced his card for me to swipe but unfortunately it seemed like my credit card swipe was down which happens occasionally but usually for only a matter of minutes. I knew he was on a tight time frame so we went ahead and had our session together so he could make his appointment after. Upon conclusion we tried to run the card again but to no luck. I am not the type to make someone leave something behind to assure payment especially since it was no fault of his, it was my dumb machines fault. Anyways he promised he would make good to me and not wanting to hold him up I sent him on his way to his appointment saying in the back of my mind there goes my one hour for free lol, my own fault.
Well not a hour had passed and he texted me asking if I had got my machine back up running so he could swing by and pay, I shook my head and pinched myself for a second just to make sure I was not having a nap lol. Unfortunately my swiper still wasn’t working. To make a long story short turned out my internet was down and that’s why it wasn’t working after a couple hours of trouble shooting.
By now he was out of the area but offered to give me his card info over the phone so I could manually enter it and charge for services provided. What a kind and trusting soul. Anyways we completed the transactions and had a pleasant texting session back and forth. You know who you are and the next time you come and see me I will be giving you a special gift of thanks for reminding on the most why I enjoy being a provider and for all the wonderful kind people I have met over the last year and a half, you more than make up for the few ripples I have had in my experiences.
