Thoguht I would start a thread about food.

Post a recipe you like for anything. I'd post something but my meals are so basic. Fry chicken, toss in frozen stir fry veggies and some kind of sauce and put on rice.

package of medium hard organic tofu, red pepper, green onion, a couple cloves of fresh garlic, olive oil, turmeric powder, ground cumin, salsa

Saute the vegies and garlic in olive oil, in a mixing bowl scramble the tofu, add a heavy dose of cumin and turmeric, add to the sauteing vegies, stir in salsa. Voila tofu that tastes yummy.:p

Alright, didn't like my scrambled tofu, did you. I'll do another one then.:D

twice baked potato.

1 large potato (I prefer the big red ones), 1/4 cup of grated cheddar cheese, green onions, sour cream, a few cloves of garlic, real butter. (you can be creative and add other things too)

Bake the potato for about 40 minutes (you can use the micro-wave to speed the process, but micro-waves steal vitamins) cut the top off the potato, scoop out as much of the potato as you can, trying real hard to not break the skin. Chop the garlic and green onions. Mash the potato scoopings, add the garlic, green onions, sour cream, grated cheese, and butter. You want the potato to be creamy like Christmas dinner mashed potatos. Stuff it all back into the potato. Don't worry about over flow. Again be real careful about breaking the skin. Bake for another 20 minutes or until the cheese is thoroughly melted. Best baked potato ever.:D

Actually, other than the tofu it sounded pretty decent. If only there was some sort of tofu substitute out there that I could use in its place... Ground beef maybe :D

Ah, this is actually one that I'm quite fond of myself. I've made it many times (almost exactly like this, although I do switch it around a little bit each time - notably I usually add crumbled bacon), and it's very satisfying comfort food.

You could substitute scrambled eggs instead of tofu.:)

Hey, if pigs don't want us to eat them, then they shouldn't be so delicious! :D Seriously, from a moral standpoint, I'd be a vegetarian, but I love meat far too much to ever give it up. What can I say? I'm weak.

The voice of Babe is done by the same woman that sings the song from Two and a Half Men!

I have never watched this show, sorry.

Sorry, if pigs weren't meant to be eaten, they wouldn't taste like bacon...
:D
Cheeky:D

Spinich salad.

baby spinich leaves, blue berries, strawberry tomatos, red peppers, green onions, garlic, lemon, olive oil, ground fresh multicolored pepper corns.

chop the red peppers and green onions, toss all the vegies and fruit together.

salad dressing- a couple tsps of extra virgin olive oil, press a couple garlic cloves, squeeze lemon, add a dash of fresh ground pepper, stir with fork, pour on salad. I prefer cooking with organic, tastes better, but whatever suits your budget. mmmmmmmm:p

Lettuce/Cabbage Wrap

Here's an easy, but satisfying one:

Lettuce or cabbage (I prefer cabbage for this - better crunch, and you get a completely different flavour depending on what type of cabbage you use), lean ground beef, onion, garlic, carrot, celery, bell pepper, salt, pepper, crushed chilis, cayenne pepper.

Brown ground beef, and drain fat. Dice vegetables and crush garlic, and add to beef, cooking until they begin to soften. Season to taste. Scoop into a lettuce or cabbage leaf, wrap, and enjoy!

Hmmmmm

Saffron rice - two cups chicken boullion, one cup unka bens, diced onions, diced pimento, one stem of saffron and one garlic clove minced plus whatever other stuff you like to put in rice. Bring to boil and set on low heat till done.

Asparagus with hollandaise sauce. Make your own sauce with clarified butter, egg yokes, mashed anchovies (or not) more garlic and a dash of Hy's seasoned salt (accept no substitutes and must be MSG free)

Poached pacific salmon (coho or sockeye) in white wine with Mrs dash for seasoning, thin slices of lemon on top and a touch of the famous Hy's

Served with nicely chilled Piesporter (sp?)

fruit flan with fresh whipped cream for desert

filling but light enough to stay awake for the main course.
