Went to the Benz dealer today because my convertible roof top won't open or close. They charged me an hour labour to find out what the problem was and told me two latches needed to be replaced which was $1,600 plus labour. I thought that was very expensive. Anyone know of any places that provide repair services for Mercedes that is reasonable?

I wonder if you could ask a body shop about that. A really good one is Cosmos Auto Care, on Adanac (they do a lot Benzes.)

Did you go to the Mercedes on Broadway? They are known to try to rip people off and charge ridiculous prices. I once had to get a tire replaced and they tried to charge me 1400 for one tire, I went to 1010 tire got the same tire for 400$. I know someone whos sunroof was broken and mercedes told him he needed a new one for 6500$, he drove down 2 blocks to the auto shop there and they fixed it for 500$. I say you go around and get quotes, once your mercedes warranty is up the costs of owning one are astronomical

Stay away from Mercedes on Broadway cause they are known scammers.

To the OP, there was a mechanic in Surrey but I forgot his number. He was from Africa and loved working on German cars and he was honest. I will try to find his contact info.

Henneken Motors under the Oak Street bridge on Marine Drive does mostly older Benz work, and I've always found them to be fair and reasonable.
