Sorry if I have offended anyone or made anyone uncomfortable, that was not my intent.

Golddicker, my DMs were in response to some questions you asked in some previous threads, but my story is not one I would like have written down or posted anywhere, so I am at a loss how to relate it other than in-person or via voice or such. Just thought you would be interested in it.

My apologies if it seemed sketchy or sus - I am very new to this space, community and hobby so I am still learning the social rules.

Wow. Okay, so I was not aware that there have been past instances of users getting setup in a similar fashion. I can completely understand how quickly this seems to be escalating now.

Again, my intent was simply to share information but not by posting it (or having someone else able to repost it).

I apologize for my misjudgement and lack of understanding. My intent was not to trigger or activate anyone, but it seems I did.

GD, you are the only one I DMed because your previous posts in other threads seemed to indicate the story may be of interest to you, but I can completely let it be if that’s how things should be done.

GD, I apologize for not feeling comfortable posting the story for you and suggesting sharing it over a beer. It seems that I have not understood how dangerous this past time is for hobbyists and providers alike, and broke a social boundary - I will refrain from doing so again.

Thank you for educating me, although I would have preferred you had shared in a DM and not a forum post first.

Again, I have intended no offense to anyone and have obviously misjudged how to share this story with other hobbyists. My apologies to everyone.

Completely fair. On reviewing our five-post back-and-forth conversation from yesterday, I realized that I didn’t think it was sketchy because I know who I am. Upon reflection, if I were to have a stranger DM me in the same way here on PERB, I’d be wary too - sorry for not considering that.

I’ll send you a DM to elaborate further on what I wanted to share (just because I feel I should explain more at this point) but otherwise I will leave it.

oh it's closed alright. Major caution to one and all, there have been VERY serious cases of stalking come out of the board over the years, ex BFs, GFs, obsessed fans or enemies.

We do not condone or encourage meeting anyone IRL outside the booking of sessions. There were active social groups many years ago and they fell apart due in part to people taking pics, stalking the gatherings and generally being really creepy.


lastly, we don't encourage or allow discussions of PM's in the forums. This one is an important topic, so it can stay up but locked. NEVER copy/paste PMs into posts, you will get an infraction or a ban.
