I think its just normal for downtown.
My office building sends us memos all the time, to keep rats away.
Like not leaving food out and basic stuff. What to do if you find rat droppings....(basically the janitor comes in a haz-mat suit)
Its just all offices, some of the larger tenants have lunch rooms, and we catch 3-4 each year.

Its funny, there is probably 60 different tenants, and if a dead rat is found everyone knows within hours.

Imagine you are laying down relaxing or sleeping and suddenly you feel something trying to crawl across your legs....ewww...that would scare the heck out of me!!
