The E. Indian cab driver comment is pretty racist. Also you ask about race, then in your examples you include things that have nothing to do about race. Italian isn't a race its a nationality, Francophone isn't a race it refers to the language you speak, and Catholic isn't a race its a religion.

{duh}...to 100% Montrealers being Francophone...

It was an article that I read in the Vancouver Sun a while ago, sorry that I don't have a better source reference.

its not really mathematically improblable, they just take the rate of immigration with the amount of immigrants that settle in Vancouver in a given year and include the birth rates for all populations and all the incoming and outgoing travel between provinces. Stats Canada has lots of info like this.
