I have seen this in the BC Tenancy Act but wonder if it applies to home owners as well ... and if it does, under what Law, statute, act, etc?
I know that in the Tenancy Act it is mainly directed at forbidding your Landlord from entering your 'home' without notice or just cause, but that it also extends to protect you from unreasonable noise from other tenants.
But what happens if you own a home and you have a neighbour who drives you nuts despite polite requests to keep it under control?
I was wondering further about an article I read about BC Ferries seeking criminal charges against a guy who 'jumped ship' and that he had been charged with 'interfering with the quiet enjoyment' of the boat: in other words, because BC Ferries had to stop the boat, start a rescue operation etc, the other passengers could not 'enjoy the trip' and BC Ferries sued on their behalf.
I may have this all mixed up, but any info or links to info would be appreciated.
