How, in this day and age, can BOA be still in business?
Don't get me wrong ~ it's great, but....
You can't look in Craigslist or the other one (forgot its name!??) anymore, yet BOA has a website and 100's of references in PERB?
It's a brothel, yet it's still 'around' and available?
With all the activity around getting rid of this on the internet and elsewhere, there's still an online service?
I don't get it.
Anyone?

I think the demise of Back Page and CL was more to do with human trafficking issues. BOA is doing nothing illegal. You could check leolist . cc. You might find it interesting.

The FOSTA/SESTA mess in the States was what brought down BP & CL. This is Canada. BOA is a licenced escort agency. In Canada. Until Mr Harper decided we needed a law against it, paying for sex was NOT illegal in Canada.

|"Thank you" Harper for your conservatism and making our society more sexually frustrated than ever before.Just for your information whenever I go back to Europe I legally pay for sex 30 -50 euros. I can not wait for European girls to cross the ocean and create some healthy competition and abundance of choices.I am sorry ,I had to state my experience due to equilibrium on stigma that we are the best society in the world. Have a great weekend and keep pooning.

Prostitution has never been illegal in Canada - but solicitation &/or communicating for the purpose of prostitution IS!

In the most basic (& I mean basic) terminology. YOU calling us - no issue. Us calling you - big issue!

The new laws - meant to protect sex workers - which really seems to me to do the direct opposite are so totally screwed that I can promise you
that each & every lawyer in Canada is waiting like a buzzard over a dying carcass (sorry lawyers - not being mean - just blunt) for the first charges to be
laid as they could turn out to be multi-million dollars landmark cases. (hmm .. .now I'm thinking .. I could use that cash!)

The new laws - once again - very basically put & others in more knowledgeable positions then myself might say that I'm off (a wee bit) on some issues - but have the gist of the situation.

(1) Is is now legal - for any woman - legal, licensed &/or not - to give a list of her "additional services" along with any fees that she so desires to perform those services.

(2) Is is now ILLEGAL for any person to "purchase" those listed options.

Hmmm ... I know that I'm not really a blonde anymore - but that is pretty confusing, but it's not my job to understand it - just to work with it.

Now - the cities of Nanaimo & Victoria actually give me a license to operate (& they aren't cheap - considering a regular business license for a shoe store, etc is approx. $ 120 - $ 150 a year)

In Nanaimo it's $ 3000. per year
In Victoria it's $ 1500. per year
& in Prince George - where I fought a legal battle with the city & won - it's now $ 4166. a year .. crazy huh?.

BUT - once again - with the new laws (the way that I read them anyhow) - the GOVERNMENT of Canada could now be able actually CHARGE the cities of
Nanaimo, Prince George & Victoria - for GIVING me a license. Dumb huh?

There are some rules that I must follow to maintain my license & yes - it gets a little frustrating as I feel sometimes that I am the ONLY ONE following the rules - but I do my best.

According to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) - Escorts in BC can be 18 years of age &/or older
but according to the City By-laws in each city in BC - ALL Escorts must be of 19 years of age &/or older.

The city can't legally stop you from having an 18 year old on staff - but they could revoke your business license & that would stop all your businesses no matter what the CCC says.

There's also nothing illegal about a pregnant Escort working - but I have a moral issue with that myself - and as they are my agencies - they are my rules.

A woman has a right to make her own decisions - but when you are expecting a child - your decisions should be based on the health & welfare of that child - not your own.

Therefore Black Orchid Agency will NOT allow any Escorts who are pregnant to work. We'll do our best to find them another job until after their child is born - but we can't
always do that - but we will try.

As for Agencies - the only issue that the Judge had in my Court case - was that I was - at that time - charging the clientele an additional fee to use the Agencies' location
& he didn't like that. So - I changed the fees & we provide our locations at no additional charge to the client &/or the Escort and what two consenting adults do behind closed doors are 100% their business.

The Escort is charging you for her time & she can charge $ 1 million dollars if she wants - nothing illegal about that.

Also - please note that the Escorts do NOT work for Black Orchid Agency - no Escorts "work" for any Agency in BC (or Canada for that matter)
- or that Agency would be responsible to provide them with tax slips (T4's) & I know of absolutely NO Agencies that do that.

The Escorts do NOT work for the Agencies - the Agencies work for THEM. They are self-employed contractors - but we (as the Agency)
have the right to refuse to list them with our company for whatever reasons we deem appropriate.

So we don't FIRE anyone - we just thank them for their service & wish them well - somewhere else!

Other ladies have issues with our Agency - as is their right - so they chose to leave. Some are under the impression that the grass is
greener on the other side - but doesn't it always APPEAR to be greener somewhere else - isn't that the way for everything in life? :)

Seldom do we ever refuse to allow an Escort back to BOA & if so - its usually for one of the following reasons & no other.

- drug / alcohol issues that are not being dealt with (yes - some are given numerous opportunities to change that) .
- theft
- in-appropriate behaviour
- can't get their sh*t together (yes - it happens - being a good escort is a lot of adult responsibility & some people just can't do that - no matter how hard they try)
- causing trouble with other Escorts. (this happens a lot - there are a lot of escorts that tell stories to other Escorts - usually in an attempt to rid themselves of so-called competition)
- trying to move drugs thru our Agency. (if I find that an Escort is trying this - my first & only phone call will be to the RCMP as I could lose absolutely everything because of this alone)

For clientele - please understand that ANYTHING & EVERYTHING that our Agencies provides to you &/or your Escort is 100% at OUR COST -
as are any reimbursements - it's not the Escort paying those monies - it's US!

Her fees are the same to us whether she goes to your home / hotel &/or our location. YOU might pay her an additional fee to travel - but that fee is HERS - not ours.

So when you realize that you actually pay the same fees at Black Orchid Agency as you do at all other Agencies - or when you've been reimbursed monies for any reason
- then please take a long look around & realize what we provide to you versus all others is 100% at our cost always and out of our pocket - never the Escorts or yours!

Then I would just be thankful that we are here & enjoy us while you have the opportunity - because you never know how long a good thing can last!

Many thanks!

Rikki :)
