One woman that I used to see about 4 years ago did date more than one of her clients (not at the same time). She was older (would be in her early 40s I think now). She was Russian born. Both factors made a difference. I think the fact that she had been a very successful lawyer in her native country might have made a difference. Unfortunately, when she moved here with her son her husband abandoned her.
Casual observation: non-canadian SPs often seem to have a very different attitude about what they do than canadian born SPs. Especially the asian women I've met. They treat the work as a job not unlike any other service job. They've never seemed embarrassed to see me if we bump into each other in public. Curious as where this cultural difference comes from... Might be my imagination.
However, I'd say the vast majority of people I've met in this business were pleasant to deal with wherever they were from.
