We all know social media is a big part in a majority of our lives.. Instagram being one of them.
You can search instagram hashtags.. Example #beaches when you search for that tag.. You see all pictures that use that hashtag..
What would you do if you were searching hashtags and come across a SPs personal profile that wasn't private..

Would you just take a glance and forget about it?
Follow her?
Or follow her and send her a quick little note asking if it was okay?
Has this happened to anyone?

I'm just curious what people would do!

* I rephrased my initial question *

Well, obviously every one would check out her profile, it's very interesting to see the life of someone that you have had this professional relationship with. I could be speaking for just myself, there might be men out there who naturally aren't that curious and seeing things like that don't interest them at all. However, I would not say this is considered "invading her privacy" as she put those photos up for everyone to see. If there is anything private about those photos, she should think twice about publishing them on instagram.

I meant my invading her privacy as in
You know she's a sp.. And it's clearly her personal account.. Not for work..
Clearly if you run into a SP's profile most people will take a gander.
I'm asking.. You know she's a sp.. Is it crossing the line to start following her?
I should of worded that in a better way. I just fixed it.

I would ask permission before following her. Anyone i have seen knows my real name, and my social media accounts are in my name so.......

Could you not just make your account private, so that only people you accept as followers can see your pictures.
This ^ keep everything on social media as private as possible. Don't post pictures of friends or other people without their explicit consent. They may not mind you taking a snapshot for your personal album but they may be very much against it being posted online.

There are plenty of real stories about people's holiday pictures being taken from facebook and ending up as stock advertising images on billboards or magazine ads. To hell with that.

But I don't agree that following someone is necessarily crossing a line. If you post it on an open website you have no reasonable expectation of privacy. It is the modern equivalent of walking down the sidewalk and expecting nobody to look at you.

yeah I was just going to say your account should be private if you don't feel comfortable with this situation. Agree with the last 2 posters

It's not my account I'm worried about..
I just wanted people's opinions on what they would do if they came across a SP's profile!!

I've seen a lot of SPs on social media (not naming names). For me, it's a quick surprise and I don't really bother with it after I see it. That being said, be careful ladies, because there are some people out there that are not so nice. Also, if you post pics of yourself on LL, Backpage, etc., best not to use them on Tinder, Instagram or Facebook.

If I was a sp, I'd delete any social media profiles - all it takes is 1 crazy dude.

Why leave the door open at all???
Yes it just takes one crazy person.. But it's sad girls have to delete all their social media..or be extra cautious because you never know!!
We should be able to have social media accounts and not be worried about that! :(
