Here's the story gentlemen...I just got back from a fabulous little trip out to Saskatoon...I met some awesome new clients, had a great time and would definitely go back...however - and this is where the question comes in - I had 6 advanced bookings that fell through....3 were last minute cancellations and 3 were no shows...taking all these bookings in advance precluded me from booking with others and unfortunately I had to turn away sessions which I would have been able to take had I not had these no shows and cancellations...
now, in addition, I had one client who booked a 3 hour session...I didn't want to block 3 hours on the "if come" so to speak
so I asked the client for a $100 deposit to secure the booking...he was happy to comply and I gave him the option of an email money transfer or paypal - both pretty anonymous ways to send cash - he chose paypal...all was well - we had a great session...
so, my question (finally...lol) is: If ladies are touring and taking advanced bookings, would you be adverse to sending a deposit to secure your session? I'm talking about either $50 or $100 depending on the type of session booked...if you need to cancel the session for some reason and you cancel at least 24 hours prior, you would receive your deposit back...if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice but more than 18 hours notice, you could apply your deposit to a future session, if you cancel within 6 hours of the appointment you would forfeit your deposite altogether...
This would certainly alleviate the no shows and perhaps encourage more ladies to visit other cities I think...but more importantly, what do you think?
