Beautiful, safe, Surrey B.C.
I used to advertise in the Buy and Sell. In order to run an ad in Thursday's paper you had to prepay your ad by Monday at 4 pm. I used to use a prepaid Mastercard which they would debit while I waited on the phone. Now I haven't advertised there in way over a year, probably closer to 2 years and I have received a bill from them for 2700.00 for advertising. I've repeatedly written to them and tried calling them, spoke to the girl who used to place the ads and she told me "oh you aren't alone, lots of people got those bills - we went on to a new billing system" anyways now I have a collection agency calling me .... just wondering if anyone else is dealing with this annoying problem ?? Thanks

Not an SP, but have been in the same type of situation. Suggest you send a registered letter to Buy and Sell disputing the bill, also send a registered letter to the collection agency telling them the bill is in dispute. By law they are then no longer allowed to contact you until the bill is settled. They would then have to take the matter to court and prove you authorized the advertising.

You have to love the pre paid Master Card and great for online shopping with no worries.
