Question about Hotmail

When creating an email in hotmail, you can click on the "To" button to add contacts.

When you click on the "To" button, 4 different tabs will show up:
1) People
2) Cateogories
3) Favourites;
4) Recently e-mailed.

My question is for the list of addresses under "recently emailed". I would like to delete those names from that list. I tried clicking on them and then they appeared in the address bar, but never disappeared from my list.

If anybody knows how to delete them, I would appreciate it.

thanks,
Cruiser

I just had a quick look and it seems you have to go into Contacts and delete them individually.

Can't be done (at least not right now)

Thread has been going for a year and the best answer they can come up with is "They are looking at it".

you need to think of this in context. recently emailed means that, in their perspective, you may regularly email to these contacts.
some users find this helpful. but yes i agree that you should be able to delete the list.

msn messenger is very upnp friendly. i don't know about gmail though.
so i love it. and most people in the world use microsoft products.

Thanks for the info....

Yes, you should be able to delete it......

An answer is not "use another email program"....because that is not solving the problem at hand.

I already delete the "sent" emails....I am savvy enough to do that...but if you (or someone else) starts digging, it appears (from Cancowboys comments and also what I found) that in the end, others can still see what you have been doing.

I don't have any "saved" contacts....my contacts actually are at zero....my sent/deleted boxes are always emptied...but the "recently e-mailed" tab still contains this information.

If anybody finds the answer, let me know...

thanks,

Yet another reason to leave Hotmail. I left it when it couldn't account for Saskatchewan not having Daylight Saving Time.

But on the whole, after having used Gmail for so long now, Hotmail is just not a good email service.
