Hi Perb Community,

The Perb community has been open, friendly , helpful and overall fantastic during my time here. So much so, I wanted to ask the community for any insight or a guide, of sorts, on Quebec City. I’ll be spending some time there later this year and would like to make the most of it.

I’d love any and all recommendations for nightlife (bars, strip clubs, restaurants), services (agencies, independent, parlours) and experience's in general.

Let me know if you’d made any memories there and are willing to pass it on. I have joined merb, but my French proficiency is limiting me there. Thanks!

Google translate is your friend. MERB is by far the best source for Quebec info. Just cut and paste the text into google translate. Takes a bit of effort, but locals know best.
Yes, will need to use some Google translate. Looking to see if anyone has any experiences they’d like to share and give me some direction.

MERB is the go-to, of course, but you will find that other than text communication most people and providers will speak a fair bit of English, if broken with a cute accent. The indy scene there is pretty robust and it's a pretty big touring spot and there are providers on Indycompanion that live or frequent there. It's generally cheaper than all of BC/AB/ON and Montreal so there's that.

As for cuisine, Vieux Quebec is like mini Europe and has a ton of amazing restaurants/pubs (like Old Montreal), but I don't have any specific spot to recommend unless you have a style you prefer. Nightlife was more muted in the center of the city midweek after COVID but I think that's normal everywhere now. Weekends there's really nowhere to go wrong.

Can't help with strip clubs or agencies, it's not my wheelhouse, but otherwise ENJOY, it's a beautiful city and one of the coolest spots in Canada (esp. in the winter, if that's when you're going).

See tourist sight like the Plains of Abraham, old Quebec city (cobble stone streets etc). You should see this in the winter and in the fall and spring. Look up food and drink tours too....
Its a nice place and the people are friendly too.
