I am pretty sure Banff has White water rafting offered in a brochure I saw when I was there. They have trained professionals that go with you and teach the class as well, not to sure try contacting the Banff tourism info line. Couldn't pay me enough to do that, I know how to swim and all but Jenn likes her feet planted firmly on the ground, well or up in the air, if I am on my back....LOL Good Luck Anna and hope ya have fun.

Definitely one of the best experiences in my life! I went to kicking horse with a group out of Canmore - can't remember the name, sorry. Make sure you take a towel, cause you're gonna get wet.

Awesome!!

You can go to Jasper or Banff... I've done it several times now and I think Kicking Horse was probably my fav. If you aren't nervous, I'd suggest that you skip the beginner rapids... it really isn't very exciting and you'll get the lesson even if you move up to something slightly more challenging.
If I didn't have to take it easy while the new boobs are healing(lol), I would definitely offer to go with you... I was planning a trip out there this summer anyway. You're gonna have a blast!!

Well there is a whole summer ahead of us !!

I'm going to opt for the place RDguy suggested for their day trip.

Years ago I white watered canoed' ( parts of the trip only ) so this isn't going to be as challenging considering there are guides on these kind of trips.

BTW: Congradulations on the new additions - I bet Lauren you're already enjoying them.

Thanks!

I'm healing well and happy with the new twins so far...lmao!!
If you've done the canoe trip, you'll have no problem skipping the beginner rapids. Let me know how this trip goes and if you're up for a repeat, maybe we could head to Jasper a little later this summer.

rafting

If ur looking 4 rafting thats not as far as Banff from Edm, U should try Hinton they offer alot of the same activities as Jasper but for much cheaper *usually* Also Rocky Mountian House offers lots of good rafting for less than the national parks.

I have talked to the Sundre People and their rates are pretty good.

120 for the day ONLY with lunch, or 130 includes Dinner after rafting.
165 for a cabin the night before and then rafting with breakfast, lunch and supper included.

Rafting starts at 9:30 am Sinday.

We're planning on going down Saturday night, and coming back to Edmonton Sinday.

If your serious pm me or call me directly.
