Anna, I have been reading your posts directed towards me and I cannot figure out why you are so obssessed with me. Until now.

I think that we are on such totally different levels that you cannot relate to where I am, and I could never relate to where you are. I have never been there before.

For example, when you said I forgot that $150 home based business fee. My first reaction wasn't "omfg, she caught me in a lie!" It was, omfg, who would run an escort service out of their home. Can't they afford an office? I mean srrrrsly, that is dangerous. I always had an office and ran my/our business from one. It was beautiful...in Manulife Place.

Another example is you saying that you are the only girl on here who has in independant license, like you are bragging or something. I had one a loooong time ago, paid cash for it with about a days worth of earnings. So to me it isn't a big deal to have one. It is pocket change to me.

Anyways, I would like to apologize if you misunderstand me and what I post. It isn't intended to get you all upset and stuff. Simply put, you paid for your license with a days worth of earnings....no "legit" job pays like that.

Don't make assumptions as to why people work unlicensed. Some are new, just starting out, some are unsure if they want that information attached to their name, some don't like the concept of turning over client information to the city, and some, though few probably have a criminal record.

Personally, you would never find me doing drugs of any sort. I had some bad experiences with a loved one and drugs. Please don't make assumptions.

Also, I used to work for criminal justice (fo' reals yo), so I lack any criminal record to be thought of. Working there, I dealt with prostitution files on a daily basis, and just for reference, ALL of the files i had seen with a 213 charge were from street walkers. Not a bawdy-house charge either. I doubt a street walker in Edmonton would suddenly smarten up and turn to escorting.

I don't have a problem with the city or vice having my info. I am not ashamed of what I did. I fucked for money. That is not illegal.

As for places not being charged with being bawdy houses, that is the MP industry. And they ARE bawdy houses. City of Edmonton is lax on charging them. Why? I don't know. But they could close down that industry in an instant if they wanted to. And that is a federal charge as far as I am aware, not a municipal charge.

A street walker probably would not get into escorting because they can't afford to, and most street walkers have criminal records. Hence, they couldn't get a license in the first place.

Girls work here unlicensed for several reasons. They don't care. They can't afford a license. They are fly-by-night drug addicts. They can't pass a criminal check. Or, they don't think they will get caught. And judging by the way the city enforces the laws, they probably will not get caught.

I don't have a beef with them, really. My thing is that why should I pay money and go through the BS to be legit when all the fly-by-night wannabes can come through here and do it for free without reprecussions? Something I will definitely be questioning the higher ups in law enforcement and bylaw in the future.
