is it possible to transfer movies from your computer to your playstation without burning them onto cd's/dvd's first?

is it possible to download movies from the net directly onto your playstation? ie. torrents

I haven't tried this but it might be possible via the usb connection. But I don't know for sure.

I don't think you can do this but again I'm not completely sure. But there is supposed to be a way to buy or rent them through the playstation store but I haven't figured out how to do it.

yah, i tend to be one of those bastards that the RIA hates. If I wanted to pay money for them I'd go to blockbuster or the like. I do use shaw on demand from time to time though

You can transfer them but you cannot play them. All the movies will be just data on the ps3 and it will not play them. What you can do is stream the video's from a pc to the PS3.

The only way to download torrents on a ps3 is to install linux on the ps3. Don't bother installing linux to play movies as the video processor is crippled when running linux.
